I'm sorry to see the end Every time I finish a book from The Remaining. This one didn't fail to disappoint. Christian Rummel did yet again a superb job. The Remaining Extinction was fast paced highly entertaining and wrapped everything and everybody up neatly. I was not happy this series is ending but I'm not disappointed in how it ended. I am satisfied. I'd like to see more stories from this author

I love this series, it goes so far beyond just your typical zombie apocalypse genre and really makes the zombies take a backseat

These books go way beyond zombie apocalypse

As a writer the detailed descriptions put me in the story, in the feelings of the characters, and I have a greater understanding of those who protect us.

Brilliant description

Any additional comments?

This book was awesome! The best way for me to describe this book and the series, is thrilling and intense. It always kept me on edge and engaged in the story. I really felt that the author did a great job of getting into the heads of the characters, and the characters feel real. Each have their flaws and strengths, and I came away feeling that I knew the main characters quite well. This final book was a lot of action, gut wrenching decisions, craziness and excitement all wrapped into one. It was pulse pounding fun, excitement and nervousness from start to finish. I felt that it gave a satisfying conclusion to the story, though it could be easily expanded upon if the author was so inclined. The best part of this whole series for me, is that not only is there the zombie side of the story, but it often takes a back seat to the human protagonists in the story. There is always a human to hate, which is seemingly always the more immediate danger in these stories. The author paints an interesting picture of human nature when civilization collapses, and it is not always pretty, but it feels real. With both the good and the bad in people shining through.

The narrator is superb as well. He gives another gritty intense performance. The tone he sets is perfect for the book, I can't imagine someone doing better.

Thrilling end to a great series
