Great story and Narrator

I love this series, it is just a shame that Audible has regionlocked the second book narrated by Nick Podehl in the EU.

Beautiful

Amazing imagery. Very well narrated. A subtle story about a story that leaves you wanting more. Definitely buying the next book and will be joining the massive group waiting for Rothfuss to finish the series. -Blown away.

I loved this book. It had a great adventure and characters. I could hardly put it down. I am definitely getting the next book.

Might be the best book I've ever read.

Not only did I thoroughly enjoy this story, and have gone through it multiple times (physical book, audiobook), this book is narrated by who I have considered to be the G.O.A.T. of narrating, Nick Podehl. The narrating is really quite spectacular here. Each character has a very defined voice with distinct differences in accent.
Would 100% recommend.

flew through it

can't wait for next book.they accepted that the last book has not been finished riding yet but I hear it will be out by August of this year 2020 I really hope that is cool.

the best fantasy novels I have ever read, and listened too. The tale is well rounded with love, fear, loss, gain and magic

Great Fantasy Novel

I've heard a lot of good things about this book and finally decided to give it a listen. The story and world building are fantastic. However, if you are looking for lots of action, this is not the book for you.

I'm relatively new to audio books, so I don't have much to compare the narration to, but I thought Nick Podehl did a great job.

Well written and voiced

I had already read this book twice, but hearing it made it worth the 3rd time.

Awesome! Finish the sequels! Take my $!!

Loved it. The narrator uses a Yoda voice to narrate the elderly characters, which is a little jarring. However, the breadth of characters narrated convincingly is impressive. The story is also extremely engaging. I love the way lore is spun seamlessly into the story without overly interrupting the flow. Also interesting how the audience is led to value the currency of the story, and feel the sting of loss, and the exhilaration of relief. The story builds out a very tangible world full of very relatable troubles and triumphs, in addition to the more spectacular elements. It's also refreshing to see that the more magical elements still have well defined rules and limitations, requiring some degree of wit to navigate difficult situations.
