Publisher's summary

Growing up on the tough Philly streets, Gwen O'Neill has learned how to fend for herself. But what is she supposed to do with a nice, suburban Jersey boy in the form of a massive Grizzly shifter? Especially one with a rather unhealthy fetish for honey, moose, and…uh…well, her. Yet despite his menacing ursine growl and four-inch claws, Gwen finds Lachlan "Lock" MacRyrie cute and really sweet. He actually watches out for her, protects her, and unlike the rest of her out-of-control family manages not to morbidly embarrass her. Too bad cats don't believe in forever.

At nearly seven feet tall, Lock is used to people responding to him in two ways: screaming and running away. Gwen-half lioness, half tigress, all kick-ass-does neither. She's sexy beyond belief and smart as hell, but she's a born protector. She watches out for the family and friends closest to her but misses the fact that she's being stalked by a murderous enemy who doesn't like hybrids…and absolutely hates Gwen. Lock probably shouldn't get involved, but he will. Why? Because this is Gwen - and no matter what the hissing, roaring, drape-destroying feline says about not being ready to settle down, Lock knows he can't simply walk away. Not when she's come to mean absolutely everything to him.

Critic reviews

"Using a contemporary setting and interesting characters, Laurenston skillfully draws you into her world of shapeshifting wolf packs, feline prides and bear clans. Her shifters from two different worlds are engaging." (RT Book Reviews)

Fun story

A unique twist for a fun and sometimes steamy story. I was totally entertained all the way through.

🥰 Loved this book and series

A Tigon and a grizzly bear meet under bizarre circumstances and quickly fall in love. Unfortunately there is an enemy of her mother and another enemy group who tries to set up hunting trips for humans to kill hybrid shifters. The two lovers have to find their way through their enemies to a happily ever after if their own.

Fun series

I have enjoyed the series and the narration. I look forward to the next book and have enjoyed the series so far. It isn't a real deep series and the plot isn't real deep but well read and will keep listening

Another great addition to the Pride series

Laurenston does it agin by providing great characters, witty dialogue, and an interesting story that makes it hard to hit pause. Narration is excellent as with the rest of the series.

One of my favorite Pride books

Gwen and Lachlan are absolutely one of Laurenston’s best couples, coming second only to Dee and Ric.

Good read

I definitely liked this book better then the last one in the series. I love Gwen’s character because she’s so strong and independent. Lock is so sweet and together they are the best couple. The story was also really funny and I felt that Blaine’s bubbly personality is so entertaining. The only thing I didn’t like is Mitch’s character because I still find him to be very annoying, I wish his character was a little less involved in this book.

So much fun, and fabulous Narration.

This story is an amazing fun romp from beginning to end. There is a serious threat/plot woven in to give it a little edge but it didn't stop me from laughing out loud.

Charlotte Kane's performance enhances the story. She does the accents, pitches her voice and acts out the characters' dialogue with amazing skill.

This was a wonderful performance of a wonderful book. So much fun!
