Publisher's summary

Arianna Grace liked her boring, Midwestern, teenage life where she ignored the many unanswered questions of her childhood. Why were her parents dead? Why did she not have family? Where was she raised until she was five? When someone offers to explain it all, Arianna thinks she's just getting answers. Instead, she is thrown into a world of night humans who drink blood.

On Arianna's 16th birthday, her world is thrown upside down when she changes into a vampire. Night humans, or demons, as some call them, live in normal society. Learning all of the new rules of a world she didn't know existed might be hard enough, but it's further complicated by two former-friends that now want to help her take her role as the successor to her grandfather.

There is a war going on between the night humans. Sides have been taken and lines are not crossed. Four main clans of night humans are struggling for control of the night. Divided into two sides, clans Baku and Tengu have been at war for centuries with the clans Dearg-dul and Lycan. That is, until Arianna Grace finds out the truth; she's the bridge of peace between the two sides. But not everyone wants peace. With the night humans divided, Arianna is now a pawn in the war between them. She must choose a side--her mother's family or her father's--and for once in her life, decide her own fate.

EXCELLENT BOOK!!?

Where does The Legend of the Blue Eyes rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The Legend Of Blue Eyes ranks Really high at the top of my list for a few reasons! The story is Excellent I started this last night & couldnt stop! The unique take on the Vampires is so different BUT IN A GREAT WAY DIFFERENT! I also loved at the end this audiobook gave you a preview of the next book in the series as well as a way to connect with the author!

Who was your favorite character and why?

This question is hard because of course I love Arianna Grace but I have to admit that I also love Devon(SORRY IF THE NAME ARE NOT SPELLED RIGHT) Devon Loves & Protects her with every fiber of his being! Even when it's hard on him he is able to put his feelings aside to make sure she is ok!!

Which character – as performed by Caprisha Page – was your favorite?

I don't think I can pick a favorite & here's why... Caprisha is able to do excellent voices for both Female & Male! However she can also do southern accents & a few other ones & still sound great! I've listened to other books where people have tried & were unsuccessful!! GREAT JOB CAPRISHA PAGE!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Listening to Arianna when she had all of this stuff dropped on her when she turned 16! It was nice to actually see a character not just take it in stride! She was homesick & upset & that for me makes it REAL! There are quite a few other times however this one stuck out with me!

Any additional comments?

If you haven't read our listened to this book then YOUR MISSING OUT NOT ONLY ON A GREAT STORY BUT ALSO A TRULY AMAZING AUTHOR & A VERY TALENTED NARRATOR!! It's DEFINITELY worth spending the Money/Credit! I'm so Happy to have Found a New Favorite Author!! THANK YOU to audible for recommending this book to me!!

B Khristin McMichael has a winner in her hands

As young adult stories go this is at the top of the pile. Ms McMichael's spends a yarn filled with young night creatures loving and fighting in well envisioned urban fantasy landscape. We hope her follow-up books are just as good.

lacking

I liked the narrator. The book put a whole different spin on vampires. I just couldn't get into the book. It seemed like it just dragged on. Thinking over the storyline it could have been a great book but I felt it was flat and lacked depth.

The Legend of the Blue Eyes

The thing I kinda disliked about this book is that it didn't really make sense I found myself getting lost in all that was happening. I also didn't like how it would refer to Ariana in the third person. But I did like like the overall counsel of the story and the action, it was just a little confusing and hard to follow at times

Poor story and poor writing

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Immature young adults.

What was most disappointing about B. Kristin McMichael’s story?

It was simplistic. It had no character development and Arianna Grace was plain and boring. I know she was supposed to be in a strange environment but she was slow and stupid. Ten obvious clues or events all but slap her in the face before she can draw a simple conclusion or until another character comes out and tells her the information and then she still doesn't believe it. She is captured and the men discuss how to kill her but then she questions why she needs security! How dumb can she be? I quit the book because it was so stupid. I almost never stop reading or listening to a book. Don't get this book.

What aspect of Caprisha Page’s performance would you have changed?

Put more feeling and emotion into the character.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Legend of the Blue Eyes?

I only listened to about one third of the book before I quit but the scene where she was captured and held in the cellar should have been cut or rewritten. It was atrocious.

Any additional comments?

Give Arianna some smarts. Being a fish out of water shouldn't make you stupid.

A great woman's Vampire book

Honestly I was hoping for some real fighting, this is a Swiss version of a violent book, (there is none) the discription of Andrews love got really annoying at times you should give us more credit we can figure things out on our own.. The ending.. was disappointing, if all you have to do is flex your power and all your foes leave then why is areona being protected all the time, I could have killed her cause she was such a wimp almost the whole series.

Loved the book, but not the narration

I LOVED this book and have already started the second in the series, but I wasn't a huge fan of the narration. Her cadence didn't always match how I would've read the scenes, so I feel like the impact of BKM's words was lost sometimes.
