"I was 13 years old when I was kidnapped. They took me from my family, from my friends - from everything I knew, and stole my innocence. They brought me to a world beneath the surface of Antarctica, where I was broken and trained by a hunter named Ninnis. He served the ancient Nephilim: half-human, half-demon monsters. My personality was buried in my subconscious and replaced by that of Ull, a hunter and killer.
"For a time, I too served the Nephilim. As the first and only human born on Antarctica, they believed that I could contain the spirit of their fallen king, Nephil, and lead them to conquer humanity.
"But I was stronger than they knew and escaped deep into the underworld, where I have been hiding for the past two years. I live in a cavern, which is somehow lush with green vegetation, eking out a living and cowering from the confrontation that I know awaits me. But the nightmare has found me. I can smell them. The hunters. They have discovered my hideout.
"The pursuit of Solomon Ull Vincent - the last hunter - has begun. And if they catch me, this is where my story will end."

The audiobooks in this series keep getting better! As this is only my second audiobook, I would rank this in my top two.
I would compare the whole series to another saga similar to something like Star Wars. There are the main characters who combat against a few villains, allies are gained along the way, as the enemies increase in number as well, and both the hero and villains take hits and have victories throughout the story.
Where Solomon takes the spirit of Nephil, and he unknowingly causes a global catastrophe.
No extreme reactions, but it did cause me to grow eager to continue the series.
RC Bray has an amazing talent at bringing Sol and all the other characters to life. The supernatural voices are fantastic and it sometimes feels like you are watching a movie
While I can't tell you exactly what it was about this instalment that I liked even more than the first one, I can indeed tell you that I enjoyed this one much more. Just enough action to keep the pages turning, some happiness for poor Sol after some years of terror, and an ending that made me want to cry and get straight into the next in the series. Very very good!
R.C. Bray does it again with part two of this awesome series by Jeremy Robinson. If you've read it already or never have before, you are in for a treat! Check it and the rest of the Last Hunter books, as well as Antarktos Rising before them all or after this book (book 2)!! So good!
I thoroughly enjoyed the second book in this fantasy saga. The characters are strong and performed brilliantly.bI look forward to the Ascent of Solomon and how the characters evolve.
All of it... the story, the performance... the fact I could listen to the next book as soon as I finished this one.
The emergence of Solomon the here.
All of them
Nope, it was just fun
Nope... just a really good "listen"
