Publisher's summary

The fight to free the Earth from alien domination began in Live Free or Die, and continued in Citadel. Now Tyler Vernon and his troops aboard the gigantic battle station Troy face a desperate battle with the forces of galactic tyranny. And the very survival of the Earth and its people is not all that is at stake. The galaxy itself must choose to live free or die - and if the tyrants win this battle, darkness will fall across the galaxy for millennia to come.

Battle stations! Listen to another galactic adventure in the Troy Rising series.

"Fans of strong military SF will appreciate Ringo’s lively narrative and flavorful characters.” ( Publishers Weekly)
“Ringo provides a textbook example of how a novel in the military SF subgenre should be written.... Crackerjack storytelling.” ( Starlog)

Best sci-fi in a good while.

Sure, hope there’s a sequel in the planing! Don’t leave it like this. Great characters and action.

great story telling

About the only negative I can say is that it leaves you hanging at the end.

only one complaint. want. moar: says a colloidal

This book was an unexpected "full send" in all ways. Voice performance was on point and solid. even though I had read the text version twice before, the careful pacing of the delivery added well to the story.

Duty over honor. Hard concept to grasp, yet this installment teaches us.

missed opportunity

The book started strong and then descended into what seemed a multi-hour Anglo-Latin culture clash. Then the last two hours are great, but then the book abruptly ends with little explanation of events. That tells me there's a fourth book. Hopefully, it's not a long-winded cultural sensitivity class.

Fun stuff

Ringo always delivers on the "I can't stop reading" side of things.. and this is no exception. I actually really like how they focused on Parker this book though you'll bump into most the crew throughout as well as a few new people. A good change of pace and a book that won't disappoint.
