Publisher's summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

Critic reviews

"The Wheel of Time...is a fantasy tale seldom equaled and still less often surpassed in English." ( Chicago Sun-Times)
"Jordan has a powerful vision of good and evil - but what strikes me as most pleasurable...is all the fascinating people moving through a rich and interesting world." (Orson Scott Card on The Wheel of Time)

best book since the first 5. maybe the best so far

This was the best book in the series so far. Or at least the best in a long time. It is VERY gratifying to finally begin to get some resolution on some of the many unresolved issues. I was brought to the verge of tears at the end of this book. Only two more remaining. Well done Mr. Sanderson.

Epic!

This is my second favorite book of the series, book 4 is my top, the whole book is just non stop action. The last 4 chapters are absolutely amazing, ending what in what I consider the best chapter in the series “Veins of Gold”. Anyone doubting how the series would continue with RJ passing will not be disappointed. Great read!

I dispaired when Jordan died, but this is great.

Sanderson did great. I was prepared to hate it, but he finished Jordan's masterpiece well.

Thrilling Listen!

This one pulled me in like few other WoT books have, watching so many interwoven threads come to a satisfying resolution in this book was a magnificent ride, I could barely pause these last few days for my love of Egwene's cathartic journey and Rand's maneuverings.

Brilliant narration performance, pulled me in deeply and highly recommend.

love this series.

I love the series and Brandon Sanderson does a great job taking over the series. I'm so sad there are only 2 left.

Powerful Start of the End

I've only listened to the wheel of time through audible and have been entranced ever since the first chapter. The performances by the two readers are awesome. I found this series after listening to them read other books, ironical the last one being written by Brandon Sanderson. Having Brandon finish the wheel of time series is amazing. I've loved everything he has written and this is no exception. I can't wait to finish the final two!

The End is Nigh

if you've gotten this far, there is definitely no turning back now. The writing has been on the walls, as it were. we finally start to see some of the storylines from past books start to get tied up, while others seem to appear to unravel. Listening to the audiobook there were only a few times where Sanderson's voice really is in the forefront, I don't know how exactly it translates on page, but it was not enough to deter me. Mat in particular seems to be a hard character for Sanderson to write, but again it's not the end of the world Another fantastic entry of the Wheel of Time that you don't want to miss.
