So many emotions

This book could be a stand alone. I’m grateful it isn’t but it could be. This is such a powerful journey!

Rather enjoyed it

The world building and characters were well done.
Vin and Kelsier were both believable characters, and I enjoyed the progression of both. I am quite happy that Vin wasn't stuck into the stupid young girl trope, though I'm concerned for bk 2 based on reviews. I hate the "I'm a girl so I'm overly stupid for boys and lose all of my abilities and strength once a man comes into the picture" trope, and I thought Vin kept most of her sense throughout this book.
The world building is strong, and it remains consistent throughout. I liked the spin on the 'magic' in this book.
The narrator is excellent. He gave a consistent personality to each of the characters and had a pleasant sounding voice. Very well done on his part.

Starts slow, but don't give up

My Audible friend suggested this series and she has never let me down. After the first few chapters, I thought her streak ended. She told me to keep going. it was hard to do; even stopping a few days due to disappointment. She messaged me to see where I was, and of course, I had to tell her I stopped. She all but threatened to come read it to me. lol. I resumed and was shocked to find she was, once again, correct! I am now hooked and am so glad she pushed me to continue. Book 2, hear I come!

I really liked it

Easy to follow. Entertaining and fun. Is there a sequel?
I think there is. I’m gonna buy it.

Amazing!

Though the start was slow (as to establish certain details,) the book takes off in quite the manner. I saw an entire world unfold before me as I listened. This is one of the greatest fantasy stories one can possibly experience. If you enjoy something new, thrilling, and unexpected, then this is the book for you.

We’ll written Fantasy Epic

Loved both the performance and the storyline of this Fantasy Storyline. The use of special powers and abilities throughout the book was intriguing and also quite detailed and complex which added to the story. Will be reading book 2 in the series in short order. Highly recommended for all fantasy enthusiasts.

best book I've read in YEARS!!

I flew through this book, even though it's over 24h long. The characters, story, and pacing are so engaging and dynamic, it's impossible to put down. Couldn't reccomend more highly!!!

I got into this series I loved the storm light archive. If you love Robert Jordan or Brandon Sanderson this is a no brainer. What an amazing audio book.
