the entire series was wonderful!

i wish there were more books. narrator did an excellent job. the characters became part of my life for a time.

I'm sad the series is over

This is by far one of the most under-appreciated series ever written. It saddens me deeply that there are only 9 books. I only hope that if they ever take the time to make it's series out of it but they follow the books close enough to make it worth watching.

love the bit of parallel to history this story has. very interesting and tremendous fun! very well written and perfectly performed! sad this is the Las in the series 😢

I waited til the last book to punt in my 2 cents

TBH...
I first slightly struggled in the 1st book. But, I often find that long series don't pick up til the 2nd one. Angela bothered me probably the 1st 3 books. She came across as weak and whiny. But, by the end Jim and Angie complimented each other well.

This series suited my life very well in the sense that I could listen to it at work and it's disruptions and still stay invested. The narrator was AMAZING with his different unique voices. This series has some great tales, fighting and adventures.. not to mention the magic that had a different bend than you normally see.

I could have listened to many more of this series. So it was sad to me to learn there would be no more since the author died in the writing of the next book. I learned of that fact before I was finished. But I was pleasantly surprised at the end that the book didn't leave any cliffhangers. It ended almost as if that was on purpose. Who knows, maybe this great author knew something.

Although I’m sure the author has ideas for future installments, I’m glad that this last book in the series was able to tie up so much & end on such a tone of resolution. Great series, the author truly passed too soon.

I found the series to be very good. Both the author and the narrator were very well done.

Incorrect Title

This book should be titled "The Scar & The Magic That Removed It"

Story started good, but after countless pages about the scar and the magic to remove it, we don't have any recollection of the plot....maybe there were some goblins......
