An Epic Adventure Continues
This is one of my favorite fantasy series. It is one of the series that I first read that got me interested in reading in my teens. And the story is still fantastic rereading it 20 plus years later. The characters are fantastic, the story is epic. I am thoroughly enjoying listening through this series this time.
Robert Jordan does such an amazing job with his character development. As I get through each book, I have learned more about each character and have had new characters introduced that are no less interesting than the ones I started with. I love how the characters evolve and drag me along with them in their adventures. I love getting to know each of them like they are a part of my own little circle. These characters are great, the old and the new.
The story is such an adventure that never really seems to slow down. There is always so much going on. The friends that were together in the beginning have all split into their own adventures, but they are all working towards one another again. So, you are following each of their stories through the book. I love the different stories going on and how they eventually come back together as one. It makes for a fun adventure and keeps it very interesting. This is some of my favorite writing; Jordan does such an exceptional job bringing it all together.
This is a story that I will definitely listen to again. Kate Reading and Michael Kramer are amazing narrators and are enjoyable to listen to. It makes my work day fly by being able to listen for a lot of the day. If you are fantasy lover, I would recommend this series to you.
