He is Boba Fett, the most feared and successful bounty hunter in the galaxy, and even the most hardened criminals tremble at his name. Now he faces the deadliest challenge of his infamous career: an all-out war against his most dangerous enemies.
As the Rebellion gathers force, Prince Xizor proposes a cunning plan to the Emperor and Darth Vader: smash the power of the Bounty Hunters Guild by turning its members against each other. Only the strongest and most ruthless will survive, and they can be used against the Rebellion. It's a job for the fiercely independent Boba Fett, who jumps at the chance to destroy his rivals. But Fett soon realizes the murderous factions, criminal conspiracies, and the evil at the Empire's dark heart. Boba Fett has always finished first. And in this game, anything less is death.

Although I am a big fan of Star Wars, I have not read all the books, comics etc. So there is alot of back story to discover. Boba Fett is one of the best characters. Even delivering a serious appearence in the Legacy of the Force series (which I highly recommend), The Bounty Hunter series is a fantastic addition to my library. Most of the story spread across the New Hope and Return of the Jedi timeline.
The character development, and narration of the book is fantastic.
I'm not sure.
Ok. He's I no Marc Thompson or John Davis but he's ok.
I was really excited to read this book and finally see what happened with Bobba for myself. Unfortunately the story really to me seemed to lack the detailed and exciting writing style I've come to expect from the reading of many Star wars novels before. I found myself wondering when something was going to happen and was completely shocked to reach the end only to still be waiting for something to happen. To short, poor writing, ok narrator, complete let down. Ill only read the next to in hope it gets better and I don't like leaving a story unfinished.
It was good, but too short. I feel like I was missing out on a lot. I remember reading this as a kid and wanting to read the other Fett books, but after buying all 3 of this "series" and listening to the first book, I think I may have been gypped. It seems like they split one book into 3. So I basically paid the price of 3 books for one. Of course I may be a little spoiled because I just finished the unabridged Lord of the Rings books. Going from around 10-20 hours of listening per book to just a few can make anyone seem like they were cheated.
I liked the added sound effects though.
Collectively, the Star Wars books creates a storyline that will keep your fascinated as you explore the depths of the Star Wars universe. The Mandolorian Armor holds true and provides needed details of its many complex characters; details you didn't even know we're required to fully enjoy Star Wars. I would love to see this and all the abridged Star Wars books redone in unabridged formats.
Have always loved books and I find that as I have gotten older I find this way more enjoyable then listening to the radio.
this seems to pick up after the issue with bobba fett falling into the sarlac pit, we also learn the interaction between the bounty hunters as well as the bounty hunter Gill that no longer seems around.

The book was very short, not even worth one credit in my opinion. It was a single 3 hour recording. Also the story itself was not very good, it read like a comic book interjecting a "big" word here and there awkwardly but mostly just action.
The worst part however was the sound effects and music and how every alien sounded like it had the same sinister voice. At a few points I couldn't even understand what was being said because of some stupid screeching birds or an overly loud imperial march. Not cool.
Lucas, the story exists in the mind of the listener. Whatever you don't provide will be filled in by their own mind and in this way sometimes less detail is more.
