Solid start to Star Wars Legends.
As my first Star Wars Legends novel I thought this was a great start! I already knew Zahn was great writer from the canon Thrawn novels but I thought he did a great job handling the OT cast of Luke and Han and the rest. I do prefer the canon EU characterization of Leia to this, but on its own she’s still Leia. Thrawn, as always, is one of the most fascinating Star Wars characters as is totally evident in this novel. Mara Jade is an interesting character that I know many say is their favorite but I don’t see it yet from this. Maybe I’ll get it more as I progress in this trilogy. The story itself was pretty good with a lot of clear set up for this trilogy that I’d hope would pay off in the next two. Without knowing there’s two more books I’d probably be more critical as nothing wraps up here but I can appreciate it as a novel that knows it’s just the first act of a larger story.

The real episode 7
This was a tremendous ride. The story was top notch, villain was terrifying, and it was so good seeing the hero’s from the original trilogy in their original light. I loved the sound effects and music for the scenes that really make you feel immersed in the story. Just a great read can’t wait for part 2!

Absolutely loved it
The attention to detail by the reader in inflection, the sound effects, the music... This is one of the absolute best audiobooks I've listened to. The story was already great on its own, but this really makes it better.
