How long can the Jedi remain in power? How far will the Sith go to rule supreme? What chance do both stand against Abeloth? As Luke and Ben Skywalker pursue the formidable dark-side being Abeloth, the Lost Tribe of the Sith is about to be sundered by an even greater power - which will thrust one Dark Lord into mortal conflict with his own flesh-and-blood.
On Coruscant, a political vacuum has left tensions at the boiling point, with factions racing to claim control of the Galactic Alliance. Suddenly surrounded by hidden agendas, treacherous conspiracies, and covert Sith agents, the Jedi Order must struggle to keep the GA government from collapsing into anarchy.
The Jedi are committed to maintaining peace and ensuring just rule, but even they are not prepared to take on the combined threats of Sith power, a deposed dictator bent on galaxywide vengeance, and an entity of pure cunning and profound evil hungry to become a god.

I love all things Star Wars, and I've listened to every audiobook available, but Marc Thompson makes the difference. His ability to audibly define every single character is superb!
This book could suck and it would still be good due to Thompson but it doesnt its a good follow up to the last one and sets a good pace for the rest in the series. I hope these authers are thanking Marc for the performances he does. Makes these books so much more enjoyable.
Just marathoned the fate of the Jedi over the last week an a half and oh my did I end on a clifhanger. But Golden has made a very good setup novel for APOCALYPSE
I would due to the voice acting which is top noch.
Where Vol mentally duesl with Abeloth.
I have. All excellent. This still proves he's at the top of his game.
Ok, The series is pretty good overall, my biggest disappointment is all the wasted time talking about caff and sani-steams. As far as I know, in the SW universe caff DOESN'T EXIST!!! Blue milk, jawa juice, and yes even the sonic screwdriver (nice Who reference) are fine but all the HOURS spent looking for, asking for, making, serving, drinking, whining about not having CAFF really gets OLD really quick!!! And are all the references to taking showers REALLY NECESSARY?? SERIOUSLY, how many times in episode 1-6 do you see the characters taking showers and drinking coffee?? IT DOES NOT ADD TO OR MAKE THE STORY BETTER OR MOVE THE PLOT ALONG AT ALL, SO ENOUGH ALREADY!!! Yes, all beings clean themselves, eat, poop, and procreate, but unless it is an integral part of the story, can't we just assume that it happens and get on with it?? I mean if there is a particular scene where the characters are having dinner, that leads to drinks, and then to a little gratuitous procreation, then maybe a little more in the sani-steam THEN by all means write it in.......but this isn't a boring episode of seinfeld so how about a bit more action, and a LOT LESS superfluous bullshit......
Sure. Enjoyable story, complicated, LOVE Marc Thompson.
When Vestara kills . . . spoiler. It really surprised me.
Great series. Hate to come to the last book.
Star wars books aren't the best for relistening
Always does his books justice, I'm sure that's why they keep him
When VistaraStar gets caught by Ben writing fake letters to her father
Just finished this book and all I can saw is WOW.
The writing and the voice acting by Marc Thompson is superb.
Marc Thompson always brings an A+ effort, not only changing his voice to reflect the character that is talking but the known characters (Luke, Leia, Han, Lando, etc) and are always consistent & sound great for those none regular cast (Allana, Tenel Ka, Sith characters, Ves).
Highly recommend this entire series.
I felt the beginning of this book was great. Well done and solid. The ending was starting to feel strained in how it tried to integrate story elements for the next novel. It just felt like a series that had done so good in keeping other character's point of views in mind just suspended all of that at the last stretch to get through the story and force events into place. Marc thompson is always awesome, and i did like this story until about the last quarter of it. But you have to go through it to get to the last book.
surprising long tradition
The story clung to the tradition of Star Wars, but was not afraid of going a bit darker. This series is not as dark as some others out there, but it was not afraid of killing when necessary for the story to be complete.
Luke was cool and collected.
