Darth Palgueis Sets a High Standard for Star Wars

This book is absolutely wonderful. I own it in e-book format, and also print and audio. I recently purchased the audio format and Daniel Davis does not disappoint.

Luceno truly captures the essence of the dark side and his character development is superb. If you're interested in a little backstory to the prequel trilogy, this should be your first go-to resource.

An all-around great literary work in all formats.

I just finished listening to this book and I can't wait to listen again just to catch everything I may have missed. It is clear that James Luceno has a superb understanding of the Star Wars universe, which he uses to add tremendous depth and life to the story of Darth Plagueis, Palpatine, and a number of other well-known characters. Davis' narration enriched the story, and franchise music and sound effects made this production a must-have for die hard Star Wars fans. More politics than action, this is a story to enhance the background rather than carry the saga forward. Nevertheless, content from Darth Plagueis will prove valuable and enticing as the series moves forward.

Made the prequels perfect

This is the best Star Wars book I have ever read, the performance was so good it sounded like a radio show, not just a book, this book make all the prequels, especially episode 1 much better similar to how the Clone Wars animated series made episode 2&3 much better, read this book
