All-new action in the number-one New York Times best-selling urban fantasy series.
When mechanic and shapeshifter Mercy Thompson attempts to return a powerful Fae book she'd previously borrowed in an act of desperation, she finds the bookstore locked up and closed down. It seems the book contains secret knowledge - and the Fae will do just about anything to keep it out of the wrong hands.
And if that doesn't take enough of Mercy's attention, her friend Samuel is struggling with his wolf side - leaving Mercy to cover for him, lest his own father declare Sam's life forfeit.
All in all, Mercy has had better days. And if she isn't careful, she might not have many more to live.
Have Mercy: listen to another Mercy Thompson chiller.

Sixty years young. Surfer, Kayaker, Abalone diver, Backpacker. Rabid reader/listener. I love Sci-Fi and Fantasy.
Patricia Briggs just keeps getting better.
Best balance of pack, fey characters so far. Good Mercy/Adam development, and minimal Mercy guilt which has grown old as the series has progressed.
Lorelei King has become one of my favorite narrators. Go for it!
Lorelei King continues to give simply amazing performances in solid and different voices.
She has excellent range in dialects, foreign languages and a depth that pulls the listener into the story.
Book Addict and a Fantasy Fanatic!
Alittle too convenient... I've fallen in love with this series. I love Mercy's toughness and her smart remarks. This book puts alittle more focus on Samuel and what's he is going though as an old wolf. I love the build up but the ending with Samuel is alittle too convient. Out of nowhere but not in a "Wow" kind of way... it is best to read the short story of Samuel and Bran before this book. It will help with the story line.
A working stiff who loves to read. My taste range from Syfy and fantasy to history and politics. Read at you own risk!
Over all not bad but I was expecting a little at the end. Still love the series so far.
Say something about yourself!
Follows Mercy as she finds trouble or trouble finds her!!
Several twists in the book. Makes it even better!
Off to book 6!
I love this series and this book once again does not disappoint. Mercy finding trouble again! Highly recommend! Patricia, your sense of imagination is wonderful. I enjoy this audio reader as well!
I love this series and Lorelei King does a fantastic job with the narration and the voices. Great addition to a great series.
What do you even say about yourself on an audio book site? I like books? I don't have time to read anymore so I listen?
Ariana was a great introduced character, you quickly get deep with her and get to see what makes her tick.
She does voices OH SO WELL. My wife, while listening and driving, didn't believe me that there wasn't more than one narrator for the male voices. Insisting there was no way a woman did those voices.
If you are just looking for reviews on how the series holds up, I think you'll find this is a series worth going through and sticking with. Hooked me enough that I'll be going through the other series in the Mercyverse.
