"Evil hides best in the shadows, preferring to work in the darkness. It withers and dies when exposed to the bright light of truth for all to see." (Vice Admiral Jack Steele)
With the Freedom gone forever, Jack Steele is awarded a new ship and a new position. A newly minted Vice Admiral, Jack Steele replaces the functionally insane Admiral Pottsdorn as the commander of Task Force Lancer.
Leaving behind a stabilized and closely monitored Veloria Prime bound for the Terran system, their new mission is to invite Earth into the United Federation of Worlds. And the UFW Directorate will accept nothing less than success. But trouble brews on Earth, and the deep space between Velora Prime and the Terran System is anything but friendly.
An epic science fiction adventure that reaches from the surface of our familiar planet and the safety of terra firma, to the dark, vast expanse of deep space and distant empires.

The parallels to current events and actions provide a very believable story. The portrayal of governmental agencies and corporations and the power they project is scary and believable.
The range of characters and the descriptive personalities provide several choices, but the mysterious Vorlock was perhaps the most intriguing.
Kevin is an excellent narrator and makes for enjoyable listening.
Sadly, I view the scenario presented as all too believable.
I believe that the universe is vast enough to actually make this all very plausible
I have enjoyed the characters and narration in Wings of Steele series. It is a nice throwback to the sci-fi of the 70's and the focus on characters and humor. The narration is top notch and it made the time fly by.
I love almost anything post-apocalyptic, zombie, scifi, ect. Always looking for some new earhole entertainment!
Great story! I absolutely loved it! Aliens, Bermuda Triangle, and government conspiracies!!! Wow! This series was awesome! My only complaint is that I wish there was more. I didn't want it to end! lol It was that damn good! I'm hoping to see more from this author! Great performance by Kevin Clay as well!
mixed real life happenings with sci fi ,makes you want to look up every time you see a trail in the skye of a night
the whole book
I read while driving longhaul across across the country
Hey Whats up?
What started out as a lame , poorly written Sifi series with a storyline any horny low IQ 14 year old farm boy might like turned Glenn Beck nuts in this last book. This 3rd installment of "Wings" went off the rails and into right-wing paranoid propaganda that just turned me off, especially with all the religious right and wingnut right BS going on in the presidential campaigns. just about every paranoid high school graduate right wing racist paranoid theory is expressed in this last book that is just disgusting. Government takeover of citizens turning them into slaves, power-hungry crazy government officials suppressing the general population so they can rule the world & best of all the author tries to tied into the Knights Templar. What a joke
This third installment of this series was fun and full of action. The story covers a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Unlike most space based sci-fi the written doesn't spend an exorbitant amount of time discussing how advanced technology works. That's both a positive and a negative.
Paw Angel Animal Rescue
Overall good story but like a lot of science fiction written today, we are advanced in space transportation but lacking in the other disciplines? The book overall, is nothing more than a long political statement. Don't get me wrong, as it's well told. If you don't mind your politics and everything that's wrong in the world blamed on people other than ourselves, this is worth a credit.
Simplistic right wing social and political manifesto that only became clear in book 3. I really wish such books noted their agenda in the summary.
