Publisher's summary

Condemned and shunned for black magic, Rachel Morgan has three days to get to the annual witches' conference and clear her name, or be trapped in the demonic ever-after - forever after.

But a witch, an elf, a living vampire, anda pixy in one car, going across the country? Talk about a recipe for certain disaster, even without being the targets for assassination.

For after centuries of torment, a fearsome demon walks in the sunlight, freed at last to slay the innocent and devour their souls. But his ultimate goal is Rachel Morgan, and in the fight for survival that follows, even embracing her own demonic nature may not be enough to save her.

Exceptional! When is Book 10 coming?

Would you consider the audio edition of Pale Demon to be better than the print version?

Not sure, I have thoroughly enjoyed the audio version. Marguerite Gavin brought the unique characteristics to the individual personalities

What was one of the most memorable moments of Pale Demon?

Trent and Rachael are getting closer - they would be a good match

Have you listened to any of Marguerite Gavin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Consistent and imaginative - love hearing her voice in character - It is amazing to hear the different inflections - sometimes I think the voice tracks are slowed down or sped up to make them unique.

Any additional comments?

When will Book 10 be out. I can hardly wait.

Wow what a twist.

This was not exactly a surprise but in the end it was, after the previous book I was not sure if Rachel was going to make it out alive, but she is resourceful.

I hope this won't be the last.

Book 9 in the series has many twists and turns and is sometimes hard to follow, but it is nonetheless satisfying and extremely entertaining for Rachel Marianna Morgan fans out there. She expands her circle of friends, turns former enemies to her cause and ultimately triumphs over all in the end.

The end came a bit abruptly and had the feeling of the author just needing to tie up loose ends in a hurry, but a few strings were left dangling that can be pulled on for the next book (if there is one).

Excellent

Love this series. Keep them coming and never lose Marguerite. She's as much a part of this series as any of the characters.

Absolutely mind blowing!

First Marguerite Gavin is amazing in her ability to perform and second Kim Harrison is an absolute genius in how she sets up her story lines to run through this entire series, her long game is so strong. Its wonderful and beautiful, heartbreaking and calls to strength in a survivor and vulnerability in compassion. I love this series and have listened to it in its entirety many times.

Worst Road Trip Ever

When you get Rachel, Ivy, Jinx and Rachel in a car for a cross country trip, you know it will not be pleasant. Throw in Pierce and Vivian (from the Cove) and it can only get worse. Once again, Rachel survives not only the road trip but her enemies as well. There is major character development for all of the characters and I can't wait to see how Trent and Rachel interact in the next book. This was a very good book and I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Best yet!

A road trip with an elf, a witch, a vampire and a fairy?????? Awesome! Loved the development of Trent's character and Jinks coming out of his shell. Hoped Rachel would make him big again, I'm still hoping.

This book is the catalyst

I remember the first time reading this book back in 2012 thinking that Rachel and Al were going to get together. She does have a thing for bad boys. LOL. It is delicious to go back and listen to the series again knowing where it ends up. This is the book where things in Rachels life take a huge turn, emotionally, professionally and personally. Just all the way around. This book is the catalyst.

I have loved going back and taking a walk through memory lane via audiobook to visit some of my favorite characters. Gavin is once again brilliant, and I love this series. Pale Deamon is another excellent addition.
