Was leary at first but it grew on me.

I read the book paperback over five years ago and enjoyed it. When I saw the audio book I thought I might as well give it a listen. I will admit I didn't like the narrators voice to start but as I listened I could tell they picked her for a good reason. she has an amazing range and adds to the story.

Skin walker

This book is great for a few reasons chief among them is that in the midst of all the werewolfs is the walker and the myths around that not to mention all of the other fantastical creatures of the fantasy world stages in today's times. I think it's a great blend and makes for an interesting stage and future plots to follow the lead character, Mercy.

Great series, you will love it

What did you like best about this story?

I very much enjoyed this book and the series. The story and characters were intersting and easy to like. Since I listen to the books at work I was pleased to find the "romance" portions entertaining, but clean, which I really appreciate.

What about Lorelei King’s performance did you like?

Lorelei is a very good narrator. It is amazing the number of characters she can come up with. She is very clear when speaking, you always know which character it is. I enjoy listening to her.

Always a pleasure to listen to Lorelei read a fabulous book

When I see Lorelei’s name as the narrator, I don’t even bother to listen to the sample anymore, as she has never let me down in the past. That holds true for this book.

She does a great job infusing the various accents and tones of the different characters into her narrations and it’s so easy to follow the flow of who is speaking and what is going on. I love this book and knew her narration would do it justice, and she proved me correct.

doesn't disappoint

One of my favorites, so I was a little nervous that the narration would damage my memory of reading the series. However, I enjoyed it and immediately bought book two.😁

One of my favorite Authors

I love this series and have already read all the books. sadly, I seemed to go through this one pretty fast, because I didn't want to stop listening. Good character intros and character building. Can't wait to listen to more of Merci Thompson's adventures. The narrator is excellent I hope they keep the same one all the way through the series.

The genre is not my usual cup of tea

I was looking at narrator ratings, and came upon this series. I listened to the sample. and thought to give it a try.
I am now going to get the second in the series.
Ms King did a fabulous job. and I am continuing my exploration into this genre because of her.
Great Job

Love the Mercy Thompson story line

Patricia Briggs does some amazing story lines. Love how Alpha and Omega and the Mercy Thompson stories crossover. I love all the different characters and their personalities.

compelling story

it took a bit to get into the story, but once I did I thoroughly enjoyed it until the end. the explanation of why things happened the way they did was a bit muddy for me, I had to hear it three times.
