Good read in an interesting series

The third book in the Jane Yellowrock series does not disappoint in terms of story, suspense and plot. Faith Hunter is one of those writers who can pull off giving you the "who dunnit" early in the story and keep you reading to find out how they are caught and brought to account for their misdeeds. The only reason this book got four stars rather than five is that I find there is occasionally too much focus on background description and not a tight enough hold to the main action line, which I find a bit frustrating. If you can hang in there through the background commentary while the heroine is hanging by her nails, well, you're in for a great listen! I recommend the entire series of books, including this installation which leaves you with yet another mystery to contemplate until book four is released. Happy reading!

CREATIVE NEW CHARACTERS IN FANTASY

Any additional comments?

The author continues to write an engaging story line that skims more layers off the surface of the main character. In addition the new supernatural characters, which I had never heard of before has added to the entertainment of these books!

Good... not amazing.

I keep hoping I'll really get into this series, because it comes highly recommended, but alas, it's just not doing it for me. The narrator does a fine job, I'm just not emotionally invested in the characters.

There's a little more personal emotion in this one and inner struggle with who she wants to be involved with, and that had potential, but it just didn't really go anywhere.

The situations feel a little repetitive. Why is she still working for Leo? He's ok, then he's not, then he is, etc. Maybe it's just me, but I can't bring myself to get the next book. Maybe I'll try again later.

WOW...... What a story

What made the experience of listening to Mercy Blade the most enjoyable?

The narrator Khristine is great, she definitely makes the story happen.

What did you like best about this story?

You just don't know what's going to happen, or what to expect. There are so many stories that are predictable, this one keeps you wondering.

Have you listened to any of Khristine Hvam’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

My first experience was with the first book in this series, I love her story telling abilities.

Any additional comments?

I am hooked on Jane Yellowrock, I have already down loaded the next book to start listen now.

Each & every story is better & better

I appreciate how Fatih Hunter develops & introduces new characters & the Mercy Blade character is another layer of fascination in the vampire world Faith Hunter is developing. Quite honestly, I cannot think of another series that has captivated as much as this series has. In fact, I cannot imagine why a platform like Amazon or Netflix hasn't done everything they can to secure the rights to these stories & bring them to life. There are not nearly enough strong female characters on film these days & vampire world or no, it's time for a lot more characters like Jane Yellowrock. Thank you Fatih Hunter; keep this up!
