The hot new novel in the Black Dagger Brotherhood by the number-one New York Times best-selling author.
John Matthew has come a long way since he was found living among humans, his vampire nature unknown. Taken in by The Brotherhood, no one could guess what his true history was-or his true identity.
Xhex has long steeled herself against the attraction to John Matthew. Until fate intervenes and she discovers that love, like destiny, is inevitable.

I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
It kinda feels like the entire series revolve around john Matthew and I love every minute if it! Qhuinn and Blay are awesome in this book!
Because when I find a series that I enjoy, I know that I will always come back to it to get the same enjoyment all over again. Good Books are timeless, you never get enough.
No favorite characters..........well, I take that back, they are all my favorites.
Yes, I love his voice, it isn't monotonous so I stay awake to listen.
I've listened to this series out of order, but that doesn't seem to affect the story any. I love series like that because you never know when you find just one and it is part 3 or something. You always get a full story in each part, not really dependent on the others to make it whole
left out gay parts don't need to go into detail as a male it turned my stomach i noticed there were no gay female parts( but i don't want to read them either)
to many male gay parts
after i forward through gay parts it was a very good book
if ward keep going more an more gay i for one will stop reading an buying her books if i want to read gay books i would look for them types of books. how about this for a kicker if you are rape as a little young boy (john ) you are looked down up on an not worthy to be a brother but if you are gay by choice that is ok.
The series was great I need moor or this. There has to be another story or two in this saga. These books were the best vamp stories i have ever read.
This book had the right amount of suspence, romance, and drama. The narrator continues do an exellent job with the characters. Can't wait until the next book of the series is released.
This was the best in the series so far!!!!!!!!! The ending was so good I could not put it down!!!
This is more than a love story which you think when read the title and look at the cover...so don't be fooled. This chapter in the Black Dagger Brotherhood is very entertaining, filled with imagination and great detail. The dialogue remains very cool (JR Ward must have fun writing these dialogues and thoughts)! The passion is fierce with main characters John and Zhex. The attention to detail from emotions to settings is very entertaining. There are vivid battle scenes and sub-stories connecting characters...and perhaps setting the scenes for future books. Some old characters like Torment begin healing and new characters are introduced Payne...so I recommend reading these books in order (as well they get better as the series evolves). Jim Frangione is excellent with the narration.
Lover Mine was too much of a 'Nancy' book for me. It missed the hard core/corny aspect of the rest of the books. The story didn't start progressing until the end. Then, it left a lot of questions open. Oh! Perhaps to wait for the next book? Smart! I just can't wait!!!!!!!!!!
I loved this series initially - but now i don't know. It's starting to feel the same book after book. Maybe I just need to take a break and come back to it.
For the most part I loved the book. What I didn’t enjoy was the constant switches to gay point of views. When I read a romance I don’t care to read or listen to a romance between guys. In the books prior it wasn’t so bad. But half this book seemed to be about the relationship between John's two best friends. It was just to much. So since I am not into gay romances I took two stars off the rating.
