Audie Award Nominee, Best Teens Category, 2013

Not so very long ago, Eragon - Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider - was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders.

Long months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can. There will be no second chances.

The Rider and his dragon have come further than anyone dared to hope. But can they topple the evil king and restore justice to Alagaësia? And if so, at what cost?

This is the much-anticipated, astonishing conclusion to the worldwide bestselling Inheritance cycle.

Enjoyed the series. Bitter sweet to have it over.

The performance was excellent as always. I will miss the characters very much. It was nice that the final book was so long since I wanted to know how the story ended but I didn't really want it to be over.

However, SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!! Can I please just read a story that has a happy ending! Not a bitter sweet ending but an ending that is optimally happy all around. Maybe that is lame in the literary world (it seems to be anyway) but I don't care! I wish the story had ended on a full happy note where everything comes together as everyone would have liked but alas it was a decent ending anyway. I will miss this series greatly.

Epic, intriguing, exciting

What does Gerard Doyle bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

How does he do the voices of the dragons???? Amazing.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Ending of the series was well done

Any additional comments?

I got hooked at the first book and read all the way through. Looking forward to more by this author.

Great Series

This was a great book I just wish Eragon would have ended up with Arya.

Masterpiece

What an incredible ending to the inheritance cycle. The dragon voice acting started to grow on me near the end of the series.

Exceptional and wonderful story.

I love the whole series, has been one of my favorite book series since the very beginning when I was 13yrs old back in 2006 when the first book Eragon came out.

Good story. Disappointing ending.

The overall story was pretty good and engaging, especially the battle of Urubane. But that ending just felt like a missed opportunity.

Poor Eragon. Denied his happy ending by editor.

Perfect Ending

The same high quality writing with consistent characters that grew up and out. Narration was superb.

A great ending for an epic series

It's been 10 years since I finished reading Inheritance for the first time, but this book and series still live up to how I remembered them. By far one of the most impactful series I've ever read in my entire life and I recommend it to everyone who is interested in reading it.

The audiobook is narrated excellently by Gerard Doyle, he was a good choice to have for this production.

Great story - cringey dragon voice

Love the storyline and the narrator for the most part. The only thing that was hard to hear was the voiceovers for the dragons. I feel like they could have done a much better job in the production with the dragons.
