Audie Award Nominee, Best Teens Category, 2013

Not so very long ago, Eragon - Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider - was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders.

Long months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can. There will be no second chances.

The Rider and his dragon have come further than anyone dared to hope. But can they topple the evil king and restore justice to Alagaësia? And if so, at what cost?

This is the much-anticipated, astonishing conclusion to the worldwide bestselling Inheritance cycle.

That you can immediately hit play and re-enter a beloved new world, or love story, or era from history is a gift to the devoted listener. But how to pick just 100 of these unique and immersive listening journeys? We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. From YA to horror to historical fiction, from fresh voices to seminal tales, hours of discovery await.

This is a wonderful end to this part of the series

My husband got me into this series last year after I finished the Wheel of Time and was looking for something I hadn't heard yet. Just as we started this book, we discovered the sequel coming out. I can't wait until the new book releases.

Emotional and beautiful

When I first started this series I believed that it was just a children's book, but I was sorely mistaken.

I love this book and the only thing I would change is the end,

SPOILER ALERT( READ AT YOUR OWN RISK):

At the end I think Arya and Eargon should have kissed, when I finished the book I felt like it needed more. Ayra and Eargon's relationship, I feel like, should have gone somewhere.

Christopher Paonline is an AWESOME, AMAZING, INTELLIGENCE, EMOTIONAL, AND BEAUTIFUL author.

I need more but thanks u for this book

Excellent book series

I read the books when they were published and enjoyed them immensely. However, listening to the whole series on the app brought a whole new level to the story.

3rd time Reading and won’t be the last

This has been one of my favorite book series to read/listen to. I love the stories, and I’m hoping that we get to know more secrets of this land you’ve made up in those future books. I love this book especially because it reminds us that Murtagh was never a bad guy just someone with a rough life. It ends in a somber way with every dragon rider going their separate ways to protect the land. I would recommend this series to anyone that loves fantasy, and dragons.[^_^]

Mixed

Narrator was great, loved the performance and definition of character voices.
Story was captivating, completely sucked me in and I enjoyed the development of the plot and characters.
Completely and utterly let down by the ending. Yup, I'm a bit cliche but I enjoy at least a hopeful ending if I can't a happy one. Neither was provided... completely disappointed.

The best in the series

I loved every moment of this book. The stories all wrap up beautifully and unexpectedly in some cases. It’s the most action packed, without losing the small moments as well. It’s everything I could’ve wanted of these fantastic books.
