Mark Tufo continues to leave me at the edge of my seat. Witty, crafty, masterful story telling. Each installment of the Indian Hill series leaves me wanting more.

How could I not listen

About three years later Mike and Tracy are married and have a son, 2 1\2 year old Travis. “D” lives close by and visits often. Things have been quiet for a while. The calm before the storm.

This series just keeps getting better and better. You got to worry about Mike. He is so nice and friendly but watch out he has a dark side. Paul, his best friend and Leader of the country wants him on a photo shoot. Beth, now Paul’s wife, is still thinks she can seduce Mike. I would really like to ring her neck.
Mark has developed his characters very well. The banter between Mike and D is soooo funny. Just like good friends would kid each other.
Mike and Paul are having problems, mostly because of Beth’s undermining their relationship.

The storm hits and Tracy and Mike are separated. Mike in the hospital, again, and Tracy on the battlefield. One thing leads to another and it looks like the end again. Treachery by the aliens and humans alike. Things go from bad to worse and then even worse. A twist toward the end. Should have seen it coming.

Again for this book I had the audio version. Got to tell you that Sean is fantastic as the narrator . He brings the book to life with his various voices. The whole audio was totally enjoyable. Clear and clean recording without any distractions or static.

If you like aliens, war and comic relief you have got to get this series. Oh, and this is not the last book.

THE BEST ONE YET!!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Indian Hill 4: From The Ashes to be better than the print version?

I only say yes because I Love Sean Runnette!

What did you like best about this story?

The depth of the main characters commitment and loyalty to his family and friends. This series is so different from anything I have ever read. I never know what is going to happen next. I have listened to so many books that I have been able to figure out what was going to happen long before the story was over. I like to be surprised and Mark Tufo isn't afraid of the road less traveled. IH 4 stopped at the perfect moment and I can't wait for IH 5!!!

What about Sean Runnette’s performance did you like?

EVERYTHING!! He is my all time favorite narrator! He was born to be Mike Talbot!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There are to many to count. I laughed out loud several times, said NO, NO, NO, and cried several times!

Fantastic

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend(and have) this book to my friends. I was not really a fan of the genre but I am a loyal Mark Tufo fan. His writing style is always appeals to me. The mix of drama and humor makes the book an enjoyable listen. New and recurring characters both shine in this latest installment. Sean Runnette gives another stellar performance. he is the voice of Mike Talbot to me.

What other book might you compare Indian Hill 4: From The Ashes to and why?

The book not only picks up where the last in the series left off but leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for the next book in the series to be released.

What about Sean Runnette’s performance did you like?

Sean Runnette has the perfect timing to narrate for Mark Tufo. With the heavy doses of sarcasm in the book timing is everything.

Any additional comments?

I have listened to all the audible offerings from Mark Tufo and would recommend them all. I started with Zombie Fallout and haven't stopped. While waiting for new releases I simply re-listen to what is in my library.

Start from the Beginning

What did you like best about this story?

If you haven't read/listened to the Zombie Fallout books, start there. The Characters are phenomenal and the development of each "alternate reality" is fun. One might think it a bit hoakey but I am just glad to be able to follow Mike along on another fun, blundering adventure.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Unfortunantely! I wish they would just keep going! It is getting painful to wait for the next book. :-)

Any additional comments?

Mr. Tufo, please keep them coming! You style and humour are wonderful!
