Northern Exposure. Even in Grundy, Alaska, it’s unusual to find a naked guy with a bear trap clamped to his ankle on your porch. But when said guy turns into a wolf, recent southern transplant Mo Wenstein has no difficulty identifying the problem. Her surly neighbour Cooper Graham, who has been openly critical of Mo's ability to adapt to life in Alaska, has trouble of his own. Werewolf trouble.
For Cooper, an Alpha in self-imposed exile from his dysfunctional pack, its love at first sniff when it comes to Mo. But Cooper has an even more pressing concern on his mind. Several people around Grundy have been the victims of wolf attacks, and since Cooper has no memory of what he gets up to while in werewolf form, he’s worried that he might be the violent canine in question. If a wolf cries wolf, it makes sense to listen, yet Mo is convinced that Cooper is not the culprit. Except if he’s not responsible, then who is? And when a werewolf falls head over haunches in love with you, what are you supposed to do anyway? The rules of dating just got a whole lot more complicated….

Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.
Loved this story. Easy listerning and very entertaining. Will be impatiently waiting for any new books in audio from this author.
I really enjoy it when readers with similar reading interests list their favourite authors and series. It really helps me find new authors too follow. Mine are Charlaine Harris, Jeaniene Frost, Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter, Molly Harper, Ilona Andrews, Kresley Cole, Deborah Harkness, Nalini Singh, Coreene Callahan and Sherrilyn Kenyon.
Yes, I would listen to this again. It was great for listening to whilst driving - although snorting with laughter when pulled up at the lights made me glad I was wearing sunglasses :D
All the characters were fun but I liked Mo the best for her dry, sarky humour and for not being afraid to bean a werewolf with a fire extinguisher!
I thought Amanda Ronconi really added to my enjoyment of the book with clearly separating the different characters (I loved the accents!) and also having the right tone for the humour.
For once being stuck in traffic wasn't a trial as I got to listen to more of the story, but I actually quite liked hearing it in installments and probably preferred that to listening to it all in one sitting.
This was my very first Audible book and I am so pleased that it gave me so much enjoyment. I have bought the second book and can't wait to start that one.
I was very happy that I could at last buy the book as unfortunately, due to the huge aggravation of geographic restrictions, I have been prevented from buying the ebook version.
I am a huge fan of the partnership between Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi, and this book was the best yet. There is no doubt it is not intended to be taken too seriously. These books are light, funny, clever and totally entertaining. Ronconi gives the perfect voice to Harper's characters, and I found myself laughing out loud while listening. I can't imagine a Molly Harper book in any other voice The characters in small-town Grundy, are charmingly eccentric - I loved them and laughed along with them. This is perfect for bed time listening. or if you're having a bad day. Fabulous and totally worth a credit! Get them all!!
I do like kick butt chick vampire slayers
paranormal sexy funny
Any of Molly Harpers books or the Undead and .... series
None before but she made the characters come alive for me. Very easy to listen too
Did not really consider the duration
Cannot wait for Molly to write some new stuff
I love science fiction, crime fiction, history novels and biographies. Love my iPod and Audible - couldn't get by without it now!
I thought this was a great story with interesting characters. Harper makes an unbelievable scenario seem so plausible.
I really enjoyed this book and couldn't wait to get back to it.
The humour, the romance, it reminded me of Twilight
Romance and love scenes, sarcastic humour
Not a thing
I love Molly Harper books! It's not every day you want to read something apocalyptic and have the world in danger- sometimes you just want to sit back with a good listen or read and have a giggle with your improbable romance. Harper's books are like that. Naked Werewolf has a great story line( no spoilers:) lots of fun and crazy, colourful characters.
Amanda Ronconi is a wonderful narrator able to do so many voices and has good comedic timing and expression. This is an awesome collaboration of author and narrator and worth the credit. She is a narrator that I watch for as she gives a quality performance consistently.
I haven't read the print version, but I have to say I love Molly harpers books and her characters.
I can't really say who my favourite character is. If I have to choose I would have to say Evie. She's just to sweet.
Once again Amanda Ronconi did a fantastic job. Absolutely love her narrating books!
Dunno, any character Amanda portrays is amazing in my eyes. American accents i find are a bit irritating to listen to, especially drawling ones. However I will purposely buy any book narrated by Amanda because she is so good.
Laugh, out loud! I have sat at home wetting myself with the antics that unfurl in this book.
The only mistake I made was reading the second book first by accident. I read the Nice Girls series first and moved onto the werewolves ones. Did spoil the ending for me a bit as i anticipated the bad guy because of my stupidity. Still loved it though!
"Twilight for grown ups"
Like the other reviewer, I was a bit wary when I started listening to this, but I actually grew to really like her accent. The story itself is very enjoyable, I was a little disappointed when I realised how many parallels there were with Twilight (don't get me wrong, I LOVE twilight, but I was hoping for something a bit more original) I still really enjoyed listening to it, but was quite glad to be doing so on headphones as there are some quite explicit sex scenes!! Although there are some quite serious themes throughout the book, there are a lot of funny moments which had me laughing out loud. I love how squirmy any mention of Mo's parents made me feel, they are such brilliant characters, but I would not want to meet them! Overall it was really good and lighthearted to listen to, I only took off one star for the Twilight similarities.
Being English, getting used to the narrator's accent took me a while, but a couple of chapters in I saw it more as a good thing, adding more reality to the book. The book as a whole is very well written and the plot was exciting. I took to listening in my car on the way to work, desperate to finish it. I look forward to reading/listening to more from this author.
"The clue should be in the title"
Five chapters in and the story is still scene setting. The story is supposed to be about a naked Werewolf. So far two hours in still no werewolf.
Only listened to one previous book by Molly Harper which encouraged me to get this one. So far story interesting but not about the title.
Like Amanda's voice and she adds to the book.
Not on so far chapters.
Hope the book improves.
"So much fun!"
I really loved the characters, I laughed a lot and wished the story was a lot longer. The characters are strong, witty, sarcastic and can be bitchy. In a funny way. Just an awesome listen!!
I was after a fluffy non challenging book after having read a few thrillers & action filled books and this was just the ticket.
The was something very strange about this recording, every now and then it sounded as if another person read random sentences or a few words. I can only assume there was a issue after the initial recording and someone else was brought in. Aside from that I really enjoyed the narration.
I have listened to this twice and laughed all the way through
When he turned up on her doorstep with a mantrap on his leg
Yes. Amanda Ronconi's reading is really good. Gets the tone just right for this type of book. Not the book to listen to on a train, people keep wondering why you are laughing out loud.
Don't be put off by the title, yes the storyline is pure escapism but well written and if you are feeling a bit low buoys you up.. I know i'll read it agian some time.
"Very light hearted"
Should you feel down and rather overwhelmed by daily life, then why not give this a go. It will not change your life or move mountains, but it will brighten up your day. The writing style and story development is typical of Molly Harper, so no surprises there. Having said that I enjoy listening to her books in between heavier reads, to lighten up the mood a bit.
The storyline is as fast moving as a werewolf.
There are so many favourite moments, many made me laugh out loud, the old guy in the bar making Mo better and better offers to move in with him..etc. etc.
I liked Amanda's performance, she gave an overall depth to the characters
I found some moments quite moving, Abner's death, Mo's confusion and sadness when her lover disappears for so long
This is a great book, I have listened to it many times now and enjoy it as much as the first time. I love the characters and the setting. oh and just about everything else. This is not a book for the werewolf fanatic, but it is a book for those who enjoy paranormal romance
"Fun mixture of chick-lit & paranormal"
This is a really fun read! Great characters, bit of mystery, sexy (grumpy) werewolves, all mixed together with a sweet romance!
Amanda Ronconi does a great job bringing the residents of small town Grundy to life with her narration.
"Delightful little romantic fantasy"
Loved it! The choice of narrator was perfect, she did a magnificent job. I thought the first-person character came across very well, with quite believable reactions, comments and inner dialogue. Most of the other main characters were interesting and engaging, and seemed plausible. The only main character who seemed a little thin (to me, anyway) was the romantic match. Entertaining, lively, fun, nice idea and well-executed.
