Star Wars: Heir to the Empire: Behind the Scenes is a special recording that features new commentary by author Timothy Zahn and editor Betsy Mitchell, written for the 20th anniversary edition of Heir to the Empire, read by Zahn and Mitchell. Included here is audio from the that new unabridged recording to enhance their comments.
The biggest event in the history of Star Wars books, Heir to the Empire follows the adventures of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia after they led the Rebel Alliance to victory in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.

I found Timothy Zahn's Behind-the-Scenes section to be interesting. The voice acting of the audiobook excerpt sounded good as well, but the constant interruptions by the otherwise interesting annotations made me grateful for this excerpt - because it's not a book I would want to purchase in audio. The print version is going in to my Wishlist. The audio is not.
Mr. Middle Earth
There is no print version (that I know of). I found it fascinating and could have easily listened to it for hours more. It's only 20 minutes long, at least an hour of content would have been great.
It's great to hear the forward and the behind the scenes notes by Tim Zahn himself!
Audio books are growing. I have listened to books for months now, But I prefer my books in paperback/hardback format.
nah I didn't like this book at all. not a fan of star wars maybe that's why.
This is just a taste of the audio behind the scenes book which this is basically and annotated version of the star wars heir to the empire book done by the author it is very interesting and defiantly made me want to get the real thing because i was not sure how this would work in an audio format this showed how it can work with out being weird
If every book I received in audio format were presented in this fashion I would have more audiobooks! It's so bloody cool to hear Zahn and Mitchell dish about this Era of Star Wars. Zahn made me a better and bigger SW fan!
If you can't find the time to do it right, how will you find time to do it over
I recommend reading this excerpt first, then going on to the book. This is going to be a great series
Yes, I love Timothy Zahn's work
The behind the scenes footnotes were interesting, but highly distracting. I hadn't read the novel in many years and was looking forward to getting lost in the narration, but the interruptions were frequent and quickly became maddening. I will not be buying this book without the ability to toggle those off.
Please provide the ability to toggle off the footnote comments or a clean version of the audio book for separate purchase.
