Great story, keeps you glued!
Excellent fit for the part.
I have yet to be disappointed by anything written by Alexia Purdy!
I loved how the Author paints you a vision with her incredible writing skills. You can feel every emotion, picture every detail like you are right there. The Characters well, they are simple spectacular and original. This is not your everyday Fae story.
When Shade travels through the lands and has a run in with a unlikely enemy.
her story telling skills are simple amazing.
I am an avid reader and listener of all types of books. I am always willing to try any book or audiobook.

Henrietta Meire’s voice was good and
her story telling skills are simple amazing.
I listened to the audio ARC in one setting and enjoyed every minute.
I was gifted this audio ARC from the author for a honest and unbiased review.
I haven't read the print version but love the audio.
The Faerie Prince by Rachel Morgan, just has same quality of unique plot and fully developed characters. The antagonism is spread more evenly in Ever Shade and has more potential to wow someone, but also those available also tend to be explained in a way that leads you through the book.
I liked her differentiating voices for characters. I love her accent and she does a great American accent, Scottish, Irish, and English as well.
No, but it was an enjoyable listen and cringe worthy here and there.
i loved that the author didn't just rely on your basic faerie story with typical characters, but made them have real personalities, at times I thought the main character was a typical believable high school girl with insecurities and idiot ways of thinking. She was not fickle, just really confused which is how I remember it when facing similar boy issues.
The heroine started out as a fairly typical teenage girl-easily overwhelmed and easily irritated. I had to keep reminding myself that she was a teenager, because otherwise, her whininess would get extraordinarily annoying. I liked the story quite a bit, but I don't know if I would consider it to be dark. Grimms fairytale are often just as dark. The narrator did an OK job, though I think she could be excellent if narrating a different book... Perhaps one with European characters. It's impossible to buy that she was born in the United States.
Overall, it was a decent, interesting story with ok narration (or excellent narration if the story took place elsewhere!).
I received a free copy of this audio book from the author, narrator or publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.
The author left the fate of many seemingly important characters hanging, but hopefully book 2 will shed some light on the deeper story. The plot was well set, with excellent detail. It was easy to be pulled into this world with imagination. I look forward to the continuation.
Maybe... Especially if it's on sale. Wouldn't waste a credit though.
I was hoping for something closer to Holly Black. I love everything I've of hers; Spiderwick I've not read.
Narration is fairly good; if not for narrator, I wouldn't have lasted as long as I did.
I guess I'll try and give this another try...perhaps. At least I'm not disappointed that the rest of the series is not available on Audible. I initially purchased BECAUSE it is 1st in a series & only later found it is not available. No great loss, apparently...
