The Eradication has finally begun, and there is little hope of victory. Mankind's fleets are devastated. Their Tigris allies have lost their homeworld, and only a few Primo survive. They need allies, but few are left to be had. Fizgig sets out to persuade the notoriously hostile Jaguara Pride to join the war. Dryker fights a running retreat, losing on every front while the Eye pushes slowly toward Earth.
Their only hope is Captain Nolan, leading his squad in a quest to find the legendary Birthplace. There, if ancient Primo myths are right, they will find the vessel known as the Forge. But they are not the only ones seeking it, and if the Void Wraith get there first then all hope is gone.

Please keep in mind that a lot of listeners are doing something while listening and in a lot of cases the environment is loud and even using a high end headsets it is tough to handle whispers (cannot hear) or shouting(I already have the volume dialed up!!).
So please take note Ryan and apply other methods to illustrate these situations, there are tons of examples on Audible.
Now for the story and my apologies to everyone for my rant:
It feels like focus shifts away from the main protagonists in the first two books towards other characters specifically on the cats.
The story flows decently enough and it feels like a lot is done tong in the cheek without it going over the line.
I do wish the ship got a name, who calls an AI just "ship"? Maybe some more of that tong in the cheek I was mentioning...
In the end it is all entertaining but not something that you would on the top of your reread stack anytime soon.
