Publisher's summary

The Galactics arrived with their Battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined a vast Empire that spans the Milky Way. Our only worthwhile trade goods are our infamous mercenary legions, elite troops we sell to the highest alien bidder.

In 2122 a lost colony expedition contacts Earth, surprising our government. Colonization is against Galactic Law, and Legion Varus is dispatched to the system to handle the situation. Earth gave them sealed orders, but Earth is 35 lightyears away. The Legion commanders have a secret plan of their own. And then there's James McGill, who was never too good at listening to authority in the first place....

In Dust World, book two of the Undying Mercenaries Series, McGill is promoted to Specialist and sent to a frontier planet outside the Empire. Earth's status within the Empire will never be the same.

fantastic

I love these books. it's like John Scalzi's Old man's war and Ann Leckie's Ancillary series spliced together in the best possible way and a Brilliant voice over actor to bring it to life.

Great

Great story, funny and entertaining. The narrator has a very good grip on the story and performance by him is very good.

The first book was pretty good, this one was better!

this book is pretty fun! I like the overall universe, scary! not in the way of monsters, but in the way of bad governments wanting to kill anybody who annoys them! Very scary!

Fun Sci-fi Military story of off world battles.

It was a great overall story. The lead Character is a jerk bit still the hero. His adventures and disregard for authority and promiscuity, lend him a Captain Kirk kind of persona.

Legion Varus never disappoints!

Listening to the adventures of one of Earth's space going legions is very enjoyable. I can not wait to enjoy the next adventures.

Another great book in a great series

There really is nothing in this series to dislike. Solid books overall, and solid SciFi. This entire series is a must listen.

Meat grinder supreme!

This series has been slow to warm for me due to all the gory details but nonetheless I am hooked.

Plus I love reading about all the horrible ways Carlos dies.... lol

Not for the squeamish!
