drags on but ok
It was better than Duncan Idaho's love story but it definitely slammed a dead baby around for a couple hundred pages to make sure you hated robots. Nothing like his father but what were we all expecting

And interesting continuation
While this is a prequel to the dune universe as written by Frank Herbert, I found it not as captivating as the proceeding novels. I found I had a struggle a little bit to Continue listening to this to the end. It introduces us to a plathora of new characters, Needless to say. It goes into great detail On what brought about the butlerian jihad And the death of the home world Terra. I still recommend this as a good read for any lover of Frank Herbert's Dune universe.

It's decent pulp sci-fi, but I would have enjoyed it more if it didn't have the dune name attached to it. The Dune universe deserves better authors.
