Now, years later, Damia is a full-grown Talent of great power. Terrible alien voices echo within her mind. And a wondrous new feeling for Afra is growing within her heart.
In a universe under seige, only one thing can defeat the power of fear: the power of love.

This is a story about love and discovery, two lives are followed till they reach a "Meeting of Minds".
There are battles and romance, conflict and growth.
Sixteen year old Afra Lyon travels to meet the Rowan who is a Tower Prime and unable to travel off the station around Jupiter's Orbit.
He becomes her confidant and friend, but to his boss Prime Ridinger disappointment he never became her lover.
He watches his friend fall in love and helps break her of her psychosis and becomes a part of her family helping to raise her children.
Afra waits and searches for the lover that will be his life mate, to reach a Meeting of Minds with her.
How long will he have to wait till the woman he finds to SEE Afra the man?
Damia Gwen-Raven, was a early bloomer to her talents. Frustrating her mother, terrorizing the Tower staff into panic, never doing anything exactly "wrong" but she was too much for the little station when her telekinetic abilities surfaced when she was two years old.
Being "shipped" to a planet and raised by her Grandmother, Damia grows up with her brothers and sister eventually becoming a Tower Prime.
Her loneliness was something she expected, for her mother had Afra when she was alone to help her till Jeff Raven showed up, she had no one. She sought a Mind that was stronger then hers, but never found it.
Infatuated with a mind she finds out in space, stronger then her own, devastated about the results that ultimately came from that contact. Damia finds the Man that is her equal.
Both Damia and Afra Dream and find that they have the strength to lead Third Generation of Gwen Raven Children.
I thoroughly enjoyed the print version but hearing it has reminded me why I love this series of books and characters.
When her and Afra finally get together.
Yes, I like this one much better than the first one. Maybe I am just getting used to her voicing style.
I laughed out loud, a lot!
I enjoy both equally .
Afra........he is just the most wonderful person and friend. Always there and caring for each person . I would love to have a soul as good as his.
so many........when he goes shopping on Earth for the first time
when The Rowan thought she had lost Jeff. My heart hurt
Anne McCaffrey has the wonderful ability to teleport you to a wonderful world. She has so many to visit and I am trying to collect all of them
It feels as though the potentially action filled parts are glanced over in favor of character development. As usual with Annes books they are amazing and I get attached to the characters but I can't help but feel as though there could be so much more to the story.
Trite story, sexist portrayal of supposedly talented women (who can't make a decent decision without the guiding hand of fathers, husbands, boyfriends and/or brothers), verbose writing style, and if I ever hear another run-on sentence connected with a "for", I will scream, for I find that extremely annoying.
