Publisher's summary

Harry Dresden lives!

After being murdered by a mystery assailant, navigating his way through the realm between life and death, and being brought back to the mortal world, Harry realizes that maybe death wasn’t all that bad - because he is no longer Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard. He is now Harry Dresden, Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness.

After Harry had no choice but to swear his fealty, Mab wasn’t about to let something as petty as death steal away the prize she had sought for so long. And now, her word is his command, no matter what she wants him to do, no matter where she wants him to go, and no matter who she wants him to kill. Guess which one Mab wants first?

Of course, it won’t be an ordinary, everyday assassination. Mab wants her newest minion to pull off the impossible: kill an immortal. No problem there, right? And to make matters worse, there exists a growing threat to an unfathomable source of magic that could land Harry in the sort of trouble that will make death look like a holiday.

Beset by enemies new and old, Harry must gather his friends and allies, prevent the annihilation of countless innocents, and find a way out of his eternal subservience before his newfound powers claim the only thing he has left to call his own… his soul.

Glad to have Harry (Marsters) back!!

If you could sum up Cold Days in three words, what would they be?

Engaging, funny, surprised!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Harry is by far makes this series. I enjoy how he continues to fight for his humanity even though the cards are stacked against him.

What about James Marsters’s performance did you like?

EVERYTHING!! Pay this man his money, and for God's sake make sure that there are no more "conflicts" when another Dresden story comes out!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Lord yes! I finished it in 2 days!!

Dresden is BACK!!! JAMES MARSTERS ROCKS!!!

Any additional comments?

I love all of the Dresden books (Ghost Story with that other narrator had me feeling a sense of grief and loss for the *real* Dresden, which in hindsight, added to the books, but almost made me give up Audible completely!)

I haven't written any reviews yet, but I just wanted the producers to know to KEEP MARSTERS AS DRESDEN!!!!!!!!

From the first word uttered to the last, I was completely enthralled and absorbed. Now the only problem is finding the patience to wait for the next book.

More addictive than cheese doodles.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Brings 'it was a dark and stormy night' to a whole new level. Fun and fast moving

Who was your favorite character and why?

Harry and his inner dialog. It is rare to be able to follow the inner workings of a person of Spock-like reserve. To be a witness to the passion and compassion that forms his character, as well as enjoying the spooky side's version of Sherlockian logic. Add a dash of self deprecation aka humble self examination and you have yourself a real likable guy.
But I will say it is the byplay of the entire cast of characters that makes it all work.

Which scene was your favorite?

I always love the big reveal, but the fact that it all just moves along so enticingly is due to the fact that each scene builds on the past and towards the finale with little or no downtime.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and I have the red eyes and sleep deprivation to prove it.

Any additional comments?

I have liked every book in this series to date- not a dud in the bunch (although I will admit to loving this narrator above all others). I like that his characters stay in character and develop as they would according to their experiences through the stories. Can't wait for the next one.

Harry is back, and hes ice cold.

First I want to say to I was overjoyed to hear James Masters voice. He IS Dresden, when it comes to the voice. This book starts to answer so many questions we have had for so long, while asking so many more.

The action in this book never lets up, and Harry's wit is as razor sharp as always. This book is the rebuilding of the harry we knew. It starts the recovery from changes while still showing us how much Harry has grown.

I cant wait for the next book in this series! I can honestly say if you skipped the last book due to John Glover, You can walk right back in and its as if the 13th book was a side note.
