This is the endgame - and it's not going well.
The battle to keep the undead tide from the walls of London is lost. Africa is a deadly hall of mirrors, leaving Alpha team riven with dissension and doubt. And the one man who might save the world is crashing to Earth half a world away. Only our greatest warriors can walk through this fire.

Another awesome book in the series but I really wish the author would advance the storyline more and stop jumping all over the place tell the story from multiple points of view and just stick to telling it from team alpha's point of view, they are the only reason I keep buying the books to see what they face next.
This entire book could have been easily condensed and added to the next book in the series. On its own it does nothing at all to advance the story of the Arisen series. Everything is more or less as it was at the end of the book as it was at the start. Considering how book 8.5 ended this is especially disappointing.
R.C. does an amazing job as usual.
Absolutely THE best zombie apocalypse series and this installment does not disappoint. Can't wait for the next book...no really I NEED it!
Another great book in the series... exciting, suspenseful... you never know what happens yet, you just know that whatever happens... it's going to suck worse for the characters than the last 10 minutes. My one and only qualm with the book... I have to wait until the next one is released... grrr!
Thrillers zombies and action make my day! Fast moving stories and characters worth reading. New twists to a great genre will always get me
Alpha team still fights to get to patient zero - tunnel dwellers still fight to get to safety - field troops fight to hold London and London just fights to survive. All stories told from a unique perspective.
Just when I think all is coming to end they all find a way out and makes me want to find out what happens next.
Action is non-stop but the one fight left me a little confused. The helicopter scene is out of place for me. I don't know anything about helicopters and I have been dead tired (no pun intended) but I really don't think I would fall asleep at the controls if I were afraid for my life and fleeing a devastating and close call with death.
A great series and narration that keeps me hooked. I chose this series over a couple of other because I am vested in the characters and the plot. There are a lot of good books and series out there but this series is definitely one to follow.
I look forward to reading the next book because I love this year he's a little disappointed that it's not on audio yet as I am extremely busy right now so sitting down to read is difficult so the next book may have to wait until I have the time to sit down but the characters are so realistic it makes you feel like you're part of the team looking forward to the next one
Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well.
Ever have one of those days when NOTHING goes right? Then you could be in this installment. Details put you there with the action. I found myself thinking please don't go in there, or run NOW, or why didn't you tell me sooner? The Tunnelers finally stop running and become a part of something bigger than themselves. I was sorry to have it end. love the characters, writing style, and
"Excellent but short"
As good as ever. RC Bray gives another fantastic performance but it seemed really quite short. Building up nicely to the end game and some great nods the duggan and maximum bob from the prequel story
"just so dam good"
there is nothing I can say I love arisen and I don't want it to stop read thease book you won't be disappointed.
"Best Series Ever"
Absolutely brilliant series, with R. C Bray brining to whole story to life.
I have listened to every book so far and found I am completely engrossed with every step the story takes.
"same usual high standards"
and the best damn zombie series written. i don't know what I'll do when it comes to and end ...the characters and their situations have become my best friends!
"love love love"
another book I really enjoyed. best series on the market. keep them coming please. too addictive.
"Better and Better"
R.C. Bray is just a great narrator
yes would love to have listened in one sitting but due to time it took 3 days to get through it
This series just gets better and better, if you want to listen to a great zombie book then start with the omnibus edition of first 3 books in one and i am sure you will be booked. Have pre-ordered book 10 already
Can't wait for the final installment! Have very much enjoyed this entire series, the writing has been excellent, and the narration is beyond compare as always.
"Another great instalment in the series"
I know it's set in the zombie apocalypse but the the story is so cool I wish I was one of the tier 1 operators!
"Hero to Zero in one book"
I have enjoyed the Arisen books immensely up until this one, fast paced action in an epic struggle for survival against a relentless foe. this turkey has only the warm blanket stylings of RC Bray to make it worth listening too, without giving spoilers basically nothing happens to progress the storyline that couldn't have been told in an extra hour in the next book. It is also remarkably short for an audio book, basically leading me to believe the author wanted to mug his readers for another hit before he finishes his series. An epic dip in otherwise awesome set.
"Great narrator poor story."
Good narrator, done a great job for the series but this book was not good, beginning of the series was great and was going strong this and the last few books were slowly but surely going downhill.
for this book a few issues.
characters disappearing, unexplained parts of the story, well established characters only appearing for a few lines and the preview for the next book that's read at the end of this one made the next one seem very silly.
