Publisher's Summary

The all-new novel in the number-one best-selling Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series.

The triumvirate created by master vampire Jean-Claude, necromancer Anita Blake, and werewolf Richard Zeeman has made Jean-Claude one of the most powerful vampires in the U.S. He's consolidating power in himself and those loyal to him, doing in America what Belle Morte did in Europe when she was at her height of power. She almost owned Europe, and there was those who are determined that Jean-Claude won't do the same in America. Jean-Claude's motives may be kinder, but as any lawyer will tell you: motives matter, but you're just as dead. Assassins are coming to St. Louis to kill them all. Anita knows they're coming, but even being forewarned doesn't mean you can win.

"Another winner for Laurel K. Hamilton"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I've been a fan for years of Anita Blake and this book keeps the story alive and vibrant. I am looking forward to the next in the series.
Kimberly Alexis is fabulous as always and I hope she stays on as the narrator for as long as there are Anita Blake books.

    "Boring"

Ok i keep forgetting who is who since the last time i read the last book. there are way too many people in this book and some scenes drag on forever. i really wanted to like. the characters have not grown at all in the last couple books. some of the sex scenes are just making me laugh out loud now. its silly. to defeat so and so anita must have sex, to build an alliance anita must have sex, to make a perfect 3 egg omelet anita must have sex. its sad to see a good series go down the tubes.

    "Yawn"

See, I actually love this series. I'm one of the few who didn't mind the descent into gratuitous sex - no problems with that at all. The problem is, I'm starting to think, that Hamilton keeps reading all these constant reviews saying that there's no story lines in her novels any more. So she puts more and more in, until there are so many blinking minor characters and minor story lines that I can't figure out what on Earth is actually going on. Serious case of narrative ADHD here - spends 2 minutes on this character, 2 minutes on this plot. But I'll keep reading in the hopes of this series getting its mojo back...

"Loved it! Recommend as adult & series reader only"

If you are a current reader of this series, this will be a wonderful read. Yes, there is a lot of sex but by book 19 this shouldn't come as a shocker. Every few books in the series is this way and its apart of the personality & life of Anita Blake.

The author does wonders at weaving you into Anita's world. In following this series, your able to understand each of the supporting characters personalities, strengths and weaknesses; while reading their characters growth stories. It's a truly wonderful world the author has created and I will remain a loyal reader.

The narrator for this book does an amazing job!!!

    "Not disappointed, but ..."

I was not disappointed in this book but I really would have like a little more of a action packed thriller. This books has lots of sex. The characters seem a little shallow because of all the sex. I kept thinking, did they really just do that, but I kept listening. If you have been following the series you will still like it. So I gave it 4 stars.

    "The Triumphrant of Power Grows"

Bullet is an ok book. It is not as bad as some people say. There is NOT that much BDSM or more explict sex scenes than any of the other later books like # 16 Blood Noir or # 17 Skin Trade.

If you are reading the books in order and not jumping around then it is the next step to secure the Triumphrant of power. Anita, Richard and Jean Claude have to master all of the colors of the Tiger clans if they want to Beat Belle Mort and the left over essence of the Mother of All vampires, not to mention the council members that still want to take them over.

There is still a lot of fighting, killing and sleuthing. I do think that Anita is getting a little too whiney and that music is creepy. I wish that she was more of the Kick butt necromancer/vampire killer that she was in the first five books, but that might be a little tough since she is so involved with them all now and her priorities have changed.

Besides if she didn't question how many people she was sleeping with or was not getting tired of all the killing, we the public would just think that she was a hard A** , blood thirsty killing slut. She has to have some compassion and redeeming qualities, even though she is of Belles line.

I would still want her to have my back (and front) during any of their situatuions as a US Marshall, Cop or Necromancer. Besides, if a vampire or shapeshifter needs killing, she will do it. I like that her protective skills are instinctive and I love her wepons.

Anita Blake is a Bad Mother Shut your Mouth! That is what you need to be when you work and live with the undead.

    "Great Book for Hamilton Fans"

I am sorry but I loved this book. I know it is explicit and down and dirty, Its the type of book true fans will enjoy. If you are not into sex and violence dont buy it...

    "another anita blake story!!!"

I have been following these stories since the beginning of time. As always, I get it the day it is released. I so enjoy her characters, get a little lost on the plot, with all that sex going on and forget who half the characters and how they are releated to each other in that confusing world of hers. I would never miss one, I think i'm just addicted!!!

    "Not for the young ones!"

Bullet is an awesome book but I hated the ending! I won't recommend a new reader to this book without them getting the entire series first but the story line makes sense. Just the fact that there was no closure to this book is irritating. I am still a die hard fan of Hamilton I've spent all my money on the other books why the heck should I stop now?!?!
