Another wonderful addition

I really enjoyed this installment of the Inheritance series. Christopher Paolini out did himself, he brought to life so many more of the characters in this chapter. I can't wait for the next book. Even the author interview at the end was worth listening to.

The important last chapters were subpar.

Not as action paced as the first two books but, gave great detail on the characters and the world the characters lived in. When the climactic ending came it did no justice to the grandeur I felt for the characters that died. The characters who died did so as if they were pathetic amateurs in comparison to the main characters of the book which (at this time) were quite short on their skills in comparison to their teachers.

awesome books, but do not like the narrator

Great and awesome books. but narrator feels very flat. he do some of the voices OK. but the whole storytelling style of his is really boring. feels like he is reading an old dry and boring book. when in fact its super awesume when u read them yourself. but gerad doyle is not good for at least eragon books.I wonder how it would be with James masters. for example.

I bought 1 audio book with Swedish. and that was really good. but I wanted all of them in English. I bought 1 book. and thanks to Doyle I won't buy the others. audible.. i hope u get to re-record it with another narrator . so I can buy that instead.

good story, but narration was ruined by one thing.

Any additional comments?

The story "Brsinger" so far has been a wonderful story. I thoroughly enjoy the inheritance series, and I never even thought about listening to it until my aunt got it for me along with "Cheaper by the Dozen" and"Reckless", so I would have a pastime recovering from a recent surgery. Though the narration is good, the thing that ruined it for me was the voice of Saphira, and how every girl was given a light and airy voice. Considering the fact that Saphira communicates through mind, I had imagined her with a feminine but still powerful voice. The voice would have been acceptable if Saphira did talk through her mouth, but since she talks through her mind, there is no reason that it be so coarse and rough. I also dislike how every girl was given the same or similar voice. other than that though, I have enjoyed this book and the narration, and look forward to listening to more audio books.

Fairly Good

I was excited to read this book, but it seemed to be overladen with adjectives and redundancy. The romantic parts are fleeting. The mindset of Eragon is still childish. But the story is still interesting. The author has introduced some new aspects in the dragon lore that were interesting. The next book should be promising.

A filler, but a great book none the less

I was a tad disseminated that this was not the last book in the "trilogy" but I still love the book. Though it can ramble in places and the politics of some parts can move slow, it is still full of new adventure. I like that CP pays more attention to the growth of his characters in this book. Eragon and some others are wrestling with their demons and this book clearly portrays that.
BTW-the interview at the end of this book was really interesting, but only if you are a fan of the books. The editor's voice was SO VERY annoying and her laugh *shivers*......

Great book, chapters are misaligned

I am a huge fan of the series, so naturally the stories are just as I expected. The only knock I have (and sole reason for my review) are that the chapters aren't aligned correctly. Eldest and Eragon were fantastic; I was able to see how long was left on a chapter by glancing at the progress bar. Now, it seems the chapters that audible recognizes are random, not corresponding remotely with the book chapters as announced by the voice actor. Many audible chapters are over an hour long, when no
book chapter gets that long. I have begun to suspect that another books chapter information was mistakenly applied to Brisingr.
Besides that, it is a great book performed well. If anyone at audible sees this, I would gladly upgrade my review to a 5 if this issue were fixed.

Third Book

I found this whole series enchanting as well as wonderful to listen to. Brisingr was a bit slow at times but well worth the intro to the rest of the story. Wish the movie had done the original book Eragon justice. Can't wait for Paolini to either continue Eragon's adventures with his beloved dragon or start another series equally as fun. What a fun series. Well worth the credits and time !

good listen.

What made the experience of listening to Brisingr the most enjoyable?

the funniest thing about the story is when they read for the dragon, what is suppose to be a women's voice actually sounds more like a silly monster voice you would use to scare a kid....
