Pleasantly Surprised.

I wasn't sure I was going to like this one, because Mercy wasn't one of my favorite characters in the begining of the series. It is defiently one of the better ones in the series.

Where does Branded by Fire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This one's a keeper. Sexy, smart, funny and with an ending that managed to resolve most of the tension without making me feel like the author was either reaching or oversimplifying. She stays true to the rules of the world she's created while making room for new discoveries and change that will keep me coming back for more. I wasn't completely sold on this series, even though I loved the first and third books, but this one has gotten me truly hooked.

What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She does a great job clearly differentiating the characters' voices without overdramatizing them.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was a feel-good read, with enough plot beyond the main couple's romance that I didn't get bored.

Another great installment in the series!

mercy and riley....great story and the plot expands further with additional intricacies in the Psy/Changeling world..what more do you need.

Interesting twist...

This is the story of Mercy and Riley....Mercy the Leopard and Riley the Wolf...I guess it was kind of like an interracial love story...um...with a cat and a dog? I think the story spent too much time in listing all the ways Mercy said she would never be with a wolf, and not enough on Riley. We heard a lot about Mercy and her past and her family, but I guess the author thought we had heard enough about Riley in book 1...but that was 6 books ago so a little bit of a refresher would have been nice.

All in all I kind of missed the Alpha's involvement in this, I would have taken Hawk or Lucas...just missing something...maybe it was lack of psy? Not sure, but it sounds like the next book is a doozey, so I think I'll take a bit of a breather from the psy gang.

If these ever go on sale you should get them all...they really are a fascinating world!

amazing as always

another masterpiece by nalini singh. she truly creates works of art. I wasnt confident in the narrator when I started listening to this series but her voice fits the books.

This series just keeps getting better...

This book is just as wonderful as the previous 5. Intense romance and action... So worth the credit!

My favorite so far

Alright, I'll admit it, I'm hooked on the whole series, but this one was definitely the best so far for me. Great passion, a few interesting complications in the story-line, and characters I really enjoyed learning about.

I really enjoy the twists and turns of the power dynamics in this series. It fascinates me and always has me looking for deeper insights while mostly enjoying the fluff, too.

I'll admit, book 3 was the most challenging for me, but this more than made up for it with the passion starting off hot and heavy followed by so many interpersonal hurdles to overcome.

The narrator did a good job. I enjoyed the story between Mercy and Riley as I found their coming together entertaining.

Angela Dawe has a wonderful grasp on Nalini Singh’s Psy-Changeling characters!! There were a couple spots that I’d forgotten about, and I laughed out loud for a couple minutes!! One was something Mercy had done to her younger brother to run off some girl, and the other was Ben the little wolf. That boy-pup tickles me in written form or audio! He may be my favorite Psy-Changeling character overall!!
