Publisher's summary

An Epic of Two Worlds

In a world as rich and real as our own, Richard Rahl and Kahlan Amnell stand against the ancient forces which besiege the New World - forces so terrible that when last they threatened, they could only be withstood by sealing off the Old World from whence they came. Now the barrier has been breached, and the New World is again beset by their evil power.

War and treachery plague the world, and only Richard and Kahlan can save it from an armageddon of unimaginable savagery and destruction.

In Blood of the Fold, Terry Goodkind, author of the brilliant bestsellers Wizard's First Rule and Stone of Tears, has created his most masterful epic yet, a sumptuous feast of magic and excitement replete with the wonders of his unique fantasy vision.

Epic edge: listen to more in the Sword of Truth series.

I F%@#ing Love this Book

Ok so u have made it through book 2s not so charming narrator. Your galant sacrafice shall now be rewarded!! I give u a book where we see Richard struggle with sorrow and grief, while at the same time he seems to carry a Santa bag full of cans of whoop a$$. All kidding aside this is one of my favorite series of all time. Mr. Goodkind thank u for years of inspiration and joy. Through the adventures of Richard and Kahlan.

Great story!

I've read this one twice over and I love the story! Terry Goodkind is truly an amazing artist. I was not bothered at all by the narrorator, I think he does a pretty great job, so don't let that hinder you from purchasing this audio book!

Decent story

So this series is decent, if not over developed a little bit. Terry Goodkind definitely creates an entire world that each book reveals more, little by little. This love story be Richard and Kahlan is almost overkill or at least how much they seem to always be professing their love for each other... or how their love for each other is the only thing that matters in the world... blah blah blah. My favorite character so far is Zed, Richard's grandfather, who also happens to be the most powerful wizard alive. Unfortunately we never really get to see Zed do any real cool wizard stuff... or its at least vague when we do see it. Richard learns that he has both sides of the magic, which sounds really cool, but as readers we really dont know what that means. Richard and Zed really need to link up so that Zed can teach Richard, but that really doesnt seem to be in the cards. The end of the book does nicely tie up some loose ends and its clear to see that Jagang is going to be the primary evil story driver for a while. My absolute least favorite part is that each book has a different narrator...

first good narrator in the series!!!

I have been battling with the bad narrators throughout this series. the first narrator Sam tsou...something was pretty good.. a little too dramatic for me, but the next guy that did number 2 oh... horrible. so it's nice to actually get a decent performance
