Publisher's summary

Some things just won’t stay buried… at grave’s end.

It should be the best time of half-vampire Cat Crawfield’s life. With her undead lover, Bones, at her side, she’s successfully protected mortals from the rogue undead. But though Cat’s worn disguise after disguise to keep her true identity a secret from the brazen bloodsuckers, her cover’s finally been blown, placing her in terrible danger.

As if that wasn’t enough, a woman from Bones’ past is determined to bury him once and for all. Caught in the crosshairs of a vengeful vamp, yet determined to help Bones stop a lethal magic from being unleashed, Cat’s about to learn the true meaning of bad blood. And the tricks she’s learned as a special agent won’t help her. She will need to fully embrace her vampire instincts in order to save herself—and Bones—from a fate worse than the grave.

Critic reviews

“Each successive chapter in Frost’s exceptional Night Huntress series adds more complexity, death-defying action, and fiery romance. While expertly deepening Cat and Bones’ love story, Frost also keeps the plot revelations absorbing and the jeopardy remorseless. In an increasingly rich and vibrant genre, she continues to prove she’s a star.” ( Romantic Times)
“A can’t-put-down masterpiece that’s sexy-hot and a thrill-ride on every page. I’m officially addicted to the series.” (Gena Showalter, New York Times best-selling author)

Third Installment in a Wonderful, Addicive Series!

With this book Jeaniene Frost brings us more battles, love, and misadventures with Cat and Bones by way of her extremely talented writing. I love the relationship between the characters, and the way she writes how they talk to and think of one another. Frost knows how to make a very powerful scene out of words and details that are deceptively simple. (I.E. Bones' proposal to Cat early in the story). In this "episode" there are two main foes, both extremely dangerous and variant mutations of evil. One is Cat's father, and the other is a very old female vampire who happens to be Mancheres' estranged wife. In the interest of full disclosure (and I say this as an obvious and die-hard fan), I did notice a step-up in the violence with this book, maybe it "hit home" and felt more personal because it included scenes like one with Cat suffering abuse and torture by her father. That was pretty intense and on one level I found it a little hard to take but in the end of course it did not turn me away from this story or Frost's writing. Also, excellent and talented narration by Tavia Gilbert as always.

PRETTY GOOD CONTINUATION!

I admit...I am through most of the books thus far, and this isn't my favorite at the moment.

It is, however, rather intense though as Cat deals with her vampire father who is trying to kill her and a master vampire who is trying to kill Bones.

Despite the fact that it isn't my favorite in this series...it doesn't disappoint!

Another Good Book

I love Jeannine Pierce books! this is not one of the best books that I like but of course I definitely will continue to read the rest of the series. our books lead up to something even more and I was surprised when I seen one of my favorite characters from her first series in there

A wonderful addition to my collection

If you could sum up At Grave's End in three words, what would they be?

Will not disappoint you.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cat and Bones of course... the chemistry sparks each word.

What does Tavia Gilbert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I have read and listened to the books. Tavia makes the Audio books. No one else could read this series and make it work like she does. She embodies the characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There is an emotional part *** Spoiler Alert *** where Cat thinks Bones is dead and it makes me cry because you never know what the writer may do but it works out well. Trust me.

Any additional comments?

Buy it, you wont regret it.

Exciting, passionate and thrilling

If you could sum up At Grave’s End in three words, what would they be?

EXCITINGLY GRIPPING AND WOW!!!!!

What did you like best about this story?

Cat and Bones' bond as a couple with all their challenges and fighting to keep a love almost lost alive through unquenchable passion and accepting his insatiable past.

What about Tavia Gilbert’s performance did you like?

Tavia Gilbert has scored 10. Her performance was just a class act of giving everyone an individual identity with the varying accents, she just nailed it!.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was moved when it was thought that Bones died and Cat was just besotted with grief, but love and determination won over to reunite this power couple. Another, was Cat's wretched father and the lengths he would consider to terminate his own daughter.

Any additional comments?

Great story with splendid narration.

some nice light entertainment

I enjoyed this book almost about the same as book 1, very entertaining. However, I only gave four stars because I decided to wait before going on with the series.
