Two Part Sci-fi with character focus.

not much I can say to top the other commenter here. the book starts off great with Felix. Felix a Scout from 'Fleet', fighting the Ants in power armor. half way through we switch to a character I rather disliked. but I listened on and it got better. eventually revealing the fate of Felix. don't expect answers to everything. just enjoy the ride. it's unique.

Really enjoyed this book!

I was surprised to find that this book was written in the 80’s. I was looking forward to more of his work but he only wrote 2 books. The other is Vampire$. And come to find out the author has passed away.

I really enjoyed the intensity and plot twists!

The battle descriptions were awesome but it was the plot twists that drew me in and kept me listening. good stuff!!!

I didn't know if I wanted to like it at first...

the author uses a writing style i was unfamiliar with and I didn't know if I was going to like it. by the end I'm more than willing to buy another.

One of the best Science Fiction books I’ve ever read. That is saying a lot.

loved this book. quick, simple and action packed. a little harsh and hard to listen to at times but a rlly fun book none the less.

Loved it

I along with the rest of my tank platoon read the entire book during REFORGER 1987 the week after black Monday. I was instantly transported back to “Banshee “ along with my crew and Platoon. We’d talk about this badass “Felix” and how we knew that this would someday become a block movie. I shudder to think maybe starship troopers was the attempt to bring it to the big screen. I hope with hope beyond somebody would be able to do that.

Love this story!

I read this book when I was 14 or 15 years old and fell in love with it. The narration is top notch the story has heroes and villans and anti heroes, reluctant heroes, hero's of need and circumstance. People of heart and spirit, great people and small people and I could go on and on and wax poetic for paragraph upon paragraph. Remember, I fell in love with this story when I was a bright eyed teenager who couldn't wait to join the military to defend God and Country so I am not at all unbiased. If they could do it justice I so wish they'd make this into a movie. Enough said.

Excellent Draw Away From Reality

Every time I put or shut off the book, I felt myself being drawn back to find out what was going to happen next to Felix. The twist at the end was unexpected with Lewis. However, the end of the store was done in a rush, with a lack of thought or flow. Disappointed compared to the rest of the store.
