Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux and her lover, the lethally beautiful archangel Raphael, have returned home to New York only to face an uncompromising new evil. A vampire has attacked a girls' school---the assault one of sheer, vicious madness---and it is only the first act. Rampant bloodlust takes vampire after vampire, threatening to make the streets run with blood. Then Raphael himself begins to show signs of an uncontrolled rage, as inexplicable storms darken the city skyline and the earth itself shudders. The omens are suddenly terrifyingly clear. An ancient and malevolent immortal is rising. The violent winds whisper her name: Caliane. She has returned to reclaim her son, Raphael. Only one thing stands in her way: Elena, the consort who must be destroyed.

I can't get enough of this series. The story is wonderful and creative, the characters are interesting and the writing is lovely. This book doesn't disappoint.

It's rare that I put a fictional book down. Even if the story or character development aren't great, I usually still want to see how the story ends.
The author is repetitive, the story is not flushed out, you jump from scene to scene without enough context. It's just poorly written.
Out of the three Archangels books that revolve around Raphael and Elena the best for me was the first one...the other two while interesting to listen to were just okay. Sorry, but I was not a huge fan of this book, and was very interested to find out that the fourth book wasn't about them at all....
I truly love Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter Series. The world and characters are so believable you feel as if youre there However, the author is not how "heard Elena". The author did a great job reading/interpreting the story, but her voice is so whiny. Other than that, great story. I recommend it. Happy listening.
Delete the graphic sex scenes, do not need the detail or as many as there are.
Very nasal sounding which was very off putting
A few sexy scenes is nice but the detailed sex fest is to much, the story could be so much better without it.
It is a great book. I would listen to it again
I am not the biggest fan of this authors other series, but this one is great. If you have tried her in the past and didnt like her, try this one out. It is a little different.
I would have preferred to not have the same details repeated over and over again.
I was actually a little let down by the ending of this one - it seems like she just ran out of story here.
Even, consistent, pleasant.
I have been purchasing audio books for about two years now and this is by far the worst narrator I've heard. It's almost impossible to enjoy the book because of the narrators slow, simpering, delivery. Ugh...really bad.
Unless you are a Harlequin lover skip this series. The I love his body but I can not give to his sex appeal is the main plot anything else is secondary.
Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
Due to the fact that it took me so long to listen between reading this book and the last in this series, I was confused a bit. Especially since this series is mediocre at best. I really liked the Psy/Changeling series that this author wrote but this series is a disappointment and since this series was on sale I bought the first four books by author recommendation. I will probably continue reading only the four I bought only because it's not a terrible story. But If you have made it this far and like the others, then this book is as good as the first two. I think I would have liked it better if there was a new point of view from each book. Narrator has a shaky voice and is a little distracting.
