The alien forces known as the Lankies are gathering on the solar system's edge, consolidating their conquest of Mars and setting their sights on Earth. The far-off colony of New Svalbard, cut off from the rest of the galaxy by the Lanky blockade, teeters on the verge of starvation and collapse. The forces of the two Earth alliances have won minor skirmishes but are in danger of losing the war. For battle-weary staff sergeant Andrew Grayson and the ragged forces of the North American Commonwealth, the fight for survival is entering a catastrophic new phase.

Forging an uneasy alliance with their Sino-Russian enemies, the NAC launches a hybrid task force on a long shot: a stealth mission to breach the Lanky blockade and reestablish supply lines with Earth. Plunging into combat against a merciless alien species that outguns, outmaneuvers, and outfights them at every turn, Andrew and his fellow troopers could end up cornered on their home turf, with no way out and no hope for reinforcement. And this time the struggle for humanity's future can end only in either victory or annihilation.

What made the experience of listening to Angles of Attack the most enjoyable?

I've listened to all three books in this series, and thought it's supposed to be a trilogy. It was really exciting and full of action, except the ending left an opening for a sequel, another book in this series. I'm sure it will be good, but when you expect a trilogy, shouldn't it be that? Sometimes authors get caught up in their story lines and or characters. I'm not sure which. Kloos is fantastic with creating both, but I really get annoyed with authors that don't know when to end. Even if the series is fantastic, sometimes it's time to move on.

What did you like best about this story?

None stop action Kloos knows how to create action and keep it moving. Really love that.

Have you listened to any of Luke Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Luke Daniels is one of my favorite narrators, from Iron Druid, to 600 hours of Edward. He's fantastic with voices, accents and emotions.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes many

Any additional comments?

If the author chooses to continue this series I will get the next book, however I hope that he thinks of a way to end it with reason. I've had several authors end series very well and enjoyed the final book too. (Some don't end the series well, and that too is a shame)

Where does Angles of Attack rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Right at the top.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Andrew of course.

Which scene was your favorite?

There were several but here are two. One is where the big dogs where trying to fight out how they were going to send the Indy back to earth Andrew does the hey guys I could go and an eye on the other guy. Another was the end with Andrew and Halley sitting on the roof.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes to both.

Any additional comments?

Luke Daniels did a fantastic job of the narration. He nailed it.
