Some zombies are raised. Others must be put down. Just ask Anita Blake.
Before now, she would have considered them merely off-putting, never dangerous. Before now, she had never heard of any of them causing human beings to perish in agony. But that’s all changed.
Micah's estranged father lies dying, rotting away inside from some strange ailment that has his doctors whispering about "zombie disease".
Anita makes her living off of zombies - but these aren’t the kind she knows so well. These creatures hunt in daylight, and are as fast and strong as vampires. If they bite you, you become just like them. And round and round it goes....
Where will it stop?
Even Anita Blake doesn’t know.

love each book in this series and all the characters but have to say Micah and Nathaniel are favorites. I like that the narrator brings each character to life.
I love Laurel K. I started this audiobook because I wanted to listen to this with my fiancé in the car. Kimberly was great as the female voices, but her narration of the male voices completely threw me out of the groove. Please please PLEASE consider more than one reader for these. Because they do have erotic scenes, it doesn't do for readers to be turned off by the voice acting.
After so many Blake disappointments in the last few books this one wins and is worth the numerous rereads I,ve done since I 1st got it in a hardback book-sure beats Jason the mistake of a sex novel she put out not long ago
I prefer the stories about supernatural societies. and their inner workings. The zombie stuff is okay, yet not truly my cup of tea.
Book Addict and a Fantasy Fanatic!
Let me start by saying Kimberly Alexis did a great job. There are WAY TOO MANY characters in this series so she gets props for keeping it together. The story is a good one but it's buried under too many pages that talk about "curly hair is hard to manage"..."he does so much weightlifting"... it's bad. Every chapter has a section on hair. And then there are the sex scenes... OH BROTHER... I love a good sex scene but there there is a sex scene that last three chapters. It's a bit much. It doesn't help with the story at all. I found myself skipping parts to get back to the real story. And the ending... she builds it up to be the zombie war of the century but it turns out to be the complete opposite.
This is the second audio book for me. It was great! Will be getting more! Very addicting!
The only thing I didn't like was the background music and sound affects! It was too distracting! Hard for me to consentrate on the story!
