Love this.
This is so thoroughly unpredictable and original! Wit, dark humor, great moments of comedy followed by heartbreak and back again and never in the way you think it will be. FINALLY a series that is a real surprise

Another Great Book
I am becoming a huge fan of Jodi Taylor. The details in her books are marvelous!! Also I’m glad I am late in discovering her as she has already written nine books and I don’t have to wait for the next book to come out.
The title, A Second Chance, is a perfect title for this book. Without giving anything away there are some tear jerking moments and as in all her books wonderful bits of humor.
I love the concept of her books of time travel with the purpose of confirming history as we know it or correcting it.
I can’t wait to get started on the next book!!!

Best book of a brilliant series.
If you enjoy adventure, twists of time and histitory, this is definitely a series worth reading. And this is the best of the lot so far.

I love the series
Zara Ramm could not be more perfect a narrator. She gets all of Jodi's humor and inserts the perfect tone for every character. This story was more emotional, and I cried. A lot. Not sure I like the two big game changers, but I'll continue on just to see where this is going. And of course, every book is a history lesson.

Wonderful
I listened to the first 3 books in this series and I want more. Usually, after 3 books I am done, not here. These books are so imaginative and well preformed, I crawled right into them and had the experience, thank you Jodi Taylor!

A rollercoaster listen.
A rollercoaster of a listen. Mixing interesting history (of course) with hilarity, gruesome deaths, mystery, and very tight story telling (apart from a slightly confusing conclusion). Ordinarily I'd have resented a "series writing ending" like this, but this is so bloody well done I have to capitulate. Tempted to jump at the next book right away!
Narration is just amazing. Zara Ramm IS Madeleine “Max” Maxwell.
