Publisher's summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

The end of the last book of the wheel of time.

Beautiful. I cried at the end, such a powerful ending. I am glad that I have lived long enough to read this series.

tremendous ending.

a man who was thrust into a war of great controversy creates a tangible world in which his reality and imagination contrive to create a world that both not only tells his own story of returning to his own self (after amputating his inner soldier) and coming to terms with his own mortality (following his having been diagnosed with a critical illness). This is an epic that elicits a great deal of emotional investment, and culminates in worthwhile dividends

The Last Battle!!!

What would have made A Memory of Light better?

Brandon Sanderson is genius. The only thing that could have made it better is if Robert Jordan wrote it himself. RIP

What do you think your next listen will be?

Eat and Run by Scott Jurek

Would you be willing to try another one of Michael Kramer and Kate Reading ’s performances?

Absolutely, I have listened to all of their Wheel of Time books and they are fantastic.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A Memory of Light?

None!!! They were all necessary to build out the finish!

Any additional comments?

Loved and thanks Brandon Sanderson you are an amazing author.

Excellent Book!!!! Highly Recommend :-)

If you could sum up A Memory of Light in three words, what would they be?

exciting, dramatic, emotional

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Perrin. He has been one of my top characters throughout the series but I really just fell further in love with him in this book. I wish Perrin was my friend or brother.

Have you listened to any of Michael Kramer and Kate Reading ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to both reading other books in the Wheel of Time series. They both do an outstanding job and really bring the story and characters to life. This is just as good, if not better, than their other books.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending brought me to tears. I won't go in to details so as not to spoil it for anyone, but it was such a good ending to a series I have spent almost 20 years reading, that I couldn't help but shed tears that the journey was over.

Any additional comments?

I love this series and was so excited to read the final book. Although I prefer physical books, listening to books fits with my busy schedule and long commute. This book has been my favorite to listen to so far. The readers do an amazing job and it is well written. I was sucked into the story and would be lost for hours. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes fantasy or even those who haven't dabbled into that genre yet.

It was a Beginning

What made the experience of listening to A Memory of Light the most enjoyable?

Throughout this book series you have been held up in suspense and confusion. you have been brought to tears and to smile from ear to ear. Now sadly it has ended but to quote an amazing man's literature "there are no beginnings or endings to the turning of the wheel of time.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how it gave enough closure with each character that you feel happy for them for once truly in this depressing series. But it also makes it believable Matt is still the Prince of the Ravens, Perrin is the Wolf king, etc. they are still living even after the series ends.

Which character – as performed by Michael Kramer and Kate Reading – was your favorite?

I loved all of the characters in this whole bloody book Michael Kramer and Kate Reading if I were to ever meet you I wouldn't want to stop shaking your hands.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The ending of Tarmon Gaidon makes me so happy with the horn sounder and who all is where they are made me so happy.

Each main character came met their potential

What made the experience of listening to A Memory of Light the most enjoyable?

The closure. It was nice to see the all of the parts fitting into the last battle.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I don't really have a favorite character in this series as the characters don't really think their way through anything.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite part was where Rand didn't die after all and came back with the power of the pattern.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. If it could be listened to in one sitting, it would be too short.

Any additional comments?

Brandon Sanderson added more intellect and depth to the characters which I thought was SORELY needed. I believe if he hadn't stepped in to finish the books, I would not have been interested in listening to the last ones.
