What made the experience of listening to A Gathering of Shadows the most enjoyable?

I found the first book in the series solid enough but very much enjoyed the way things were built on here.

World Building so Nice, she did it Four times

I wasn't sure where she was going to go after the first book, but I enjoyed every moment of the adventure traveling from Grey, red, white, and even Black London. there's so much good about this book, my small review can't do it justice.

Best Narrators!

Which character – as performed by Michael Kramer and Kate Reading – was your favorite?

I am surprised by many of the reviewers who did not know of these two readers.
If you enjoyed this series try the Storm Light Series by Brandon Sanderson.
Best writer in Sci-Fi Fantasy!

I was SO happy to hear the second book start with the voice of Kate Reading...and then i heard Michael Kramer also! If you listen as much as I do, and LOVE Brandon Sanderson you will understand! A very pleasant surprise and made listening to the book even better! While i did enjoy the first book and narration, this one is SO MUCH BETTER with what i consider the best duo of narration today on Audible.

mostly pretty good

So the first narrator was horrible, and the new ones are better but the woman WAY over-dramatizes things. The story was slow to get going and left you hanging, a little too much. All that said, I love the characters and the premise and this definitely has some interesting surprises.

2 readers makes it hard to stay in the experience

The inclusion of another reader took away from experience, however with that being said each reader did great, their performance was just very different.

The book and story itself was awesome though.

Everyone in this series is a prisoner

And their struggles are almost as interesting as the really amazingly thought-out magic and politics of their world.

Better than the first book!

I couldn't put this down; I had to buy the kindle version to keep on reading when audible wasn't convenient. It's better than the first in the series!

Great story, awesome narration!

Love love love this audio version more than the first because it has two narrators for the two stories it's following! I did get a little confused for a few minutes on the first book every time it switched back and forth from Kel to Lyla. Both the narrators give awesome performances!
