Book 2. Slow at points but great plot and character development. Follow the surving Stark family members after the death of their father. Rob becomes a man. Brann the broke becomes the 3 eyed raven. Sansa tortured by Geoffrey. Arya on the run. Then turns on the Starks. Renly and Stannis via for the throne. Tyrion saves King's Landing. Jaime captured. Tywin battles Rob. Cersei plots.

If you like fantasy and kings and fighting, mystery, and trig, and magic, this book is for you! I love the narrator it was amazing how many voices he could come up with and it sound like many people talking. Highly recommend

the genius storytelling continues
This is the continuation of very long and complex story that spreads across volumes of epic tomes. If your willing to give your time to this story it will be a very rewarding experience.
George R R Martin is a truly great storyteller. His mind and his stories are rich with wonder.
Do yourself a favor and read/listen to the entire Song Of Ice And Fire series. You'll be glad you did

A big glass of awesome!
This was a great way to re-enjoy this book! The writing is of course spot on and engaging, however I occasionally had issue with Roy Dotrice's performance. His voices seemed to blend together over time as they were all very similar. That's not to say he didn't do an otherwise fantastic job at performing them!
