couldn't ask for more
I've seen quite a few people comment that roy dotrice doesn't voice the female characters well enough. I'm not sure what they expect, I feel like he does a decent enough job on them, and more than makes up for it when the regal kings, bloodthirsty cutthroats and theon get their turns. He has a narrator voice I quite like. He understands when to pause and can breath life and personality into the words like few can.
The book itself is superb. I genuinely don't understand how Martin can manage the level of craftsmanship on display in his series consistently the way he does. The details that make it real, the way the characters go about their lives and deal with hard ships, and the poetry weaves into the narrative always leaves me breathless.
This series has me enthralled all over again, and it's only more enjoyable a second time going through it.

The only thing better than this book is the narration. There are so many characters in this book and Dotrice does such an awesome job, I can easily picture each character.
