One of the best I've heard in a long time!
It's hard to write a review of this book without revealing any spoilers. Suffice it to say that I, after reading and/or listening to everything by this author, this is by far his most outstanding work. I sensed the story coming to an end and fantasized about what the next installment will cover. Hopefully, it will be forthcoming!

Pretty far out
Storyline started out pretty good, but character development was weak. The author tried to parallel a Scooby-Doo episode and the story ended up with about as much depth. As the plot unfolds the believability degrades rapidly. All in all it was kind of cute and mostly clean, but don't expect a story you will be talking about for years!

Lovecraftian brilliance
If you're a mystery fan and or a Lovecraft fan, you'll love 14. Great characters and great performance by the reader. I highly recommend this!

The story arc definitely surprised me!
What did you love best about 14?
I thought that the story was really entertaining and I liked most of the characters. This was a solid 4- 4.5 stars for me.
What other book might you compare 14 to and why?
Surprisingly, I can't think of a book that 14 reminds me of. It's pretty unique.
Which scene was your favorite?
*Spoiler alert* I was definitely on the edge of my seat when the group was in the other dimension trying to get back .
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
*Spoiler alert* I thought it was pretty hilarious how Nate and Veek eventually got together.
Any additional comments?
I didn't really like how he wrote the Andrew character. It was odd how he kept referring to him with his head tilts...

A bit of Old, New and Funny
A different fair from most: Detective / SiFi / Humor / Historical saga all set in the modern day. Great listen. It will make you laugh and scare you. This would be a great movie.
