Publisher's summary

Helene, the Countess Godwin, knows there is nothing more unbearably tedious than a virtuous woman. After all, she's been one for ten long years while her scoundrel of a husband lives with strumpets and causes scandal after scandal. So she decides it's time for a change - she styles her hair in the newest, daring mode, puts on a shockingly transparent gown, and goes to a ball like Cinderella, hoping to find a prince charming to sweep her off her feet...a nd into his bed.

But instead of a prince, she finds only her own volatile, infuriatingly handsome... husband, Rees, the Earl Godwin. They'd eloped to Gretna Green in a fiery passion, but passion can sometimes burn too hot to last.

But now, Rees makes her a brazen offer, and Helene decides to become his wife again... but not in name only. No, this time she decides to be very, very wicked indeed.

What does Justine Eyre bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She just has a great take on the characters, and does them all so well.

Not Ms.James best book

What would have made Your Wicked Ways better?

Better characters that weren't so vapid and dull.

Has Your Wicked Ways turned you off from other books in this genre?

No

What does Justine Eyre bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

Justine Eyre did the best she could with a dislikable story.

What character would you cut from Your Wicked Ways?

All and start over.

Any additional comments?

I love Eloisa James books but this one was a real stinker. The characters are unlikeable and stupid. I kept waiting for the story to get better but half way though it was apparent it wasn't. I had to quit, the characters were so dull and uninteresting. The female character was stupid and made decisions no real woman would ever make, at least no self respecting woman. The male character was unlike able and boring.

Not my favorite

The ending was the best for me. I did not like the concept of the cheating spouses and the vicar marrying the brother mistress not my type of love story but I did make it through just fast forward the brothers parts

Best of the series

Eloisa James is synonymous with solid research and solid mastery of romance writing craft. Both carry and engaging story with a romance plot and romance subplot. Justine Eyre’s energy and talent bring life to every word.

Never disliked a hero so much

I have been through a ton of heroes but NEVER have I disliked anyone as much as Rees. He is so unlikable that it made it hard to continue.

All his inner thoughts of being uncomfortable with what he is doing ...doesn't make up for his despicable behavior to everyone.

On top of it all Helena feeling badly for HER behavior is inexcusable. And Tom's relationship with Rees' mistress is also unpalatable.

Weakest in the series - but still okay

I liked the previous three books better. This one was okay, but the male lead, Rees, was deplorable. In my opinion he did not redeem himself in the end. The female lead, Helene, was stupid and not particularly likable. There was no chemistry between the male/female leads. My favorite parts were getting updates on the other three friends in the quartet. They are much more interesting.

Worth it

Not my favorite in the series but well worth listening to. Eloisa James is one of my favorite authors and I love getting more depth to characters. I love the changes the character goes through throughout the series and her transformation in her book is great even if the drive behind it is to me, a bit sad.
