Publisher's summary

Mary Alice Brannigan doesn’t believe in the supernatural. Nor does she expect to find that Dreamland, the decaying amusement park she’s been hired to restore, is a prison for the five Untouchables, the most powerful demons in the history of the world. Plus, there’s a guy she’s falling hard for, and there’s something about him that’s not quite right.

But rocky romances and demented demons aren’t the only problems in Dreamland: Mab’s also coping with a crooked politician, a supernatural raven, a secret government agency, an inexperienced sorceress, an unsettling inheritance, and some mind-boggling revelations from her past.

As her personal demons wreck her newfound relationship, and real demons wreck the park, Mab faces down immortal evil and discovers what everybody who’s ever been to an amusement park knows: The end of the ride is always the wildest.

Wild Ride Indeed!

Loved it! Love this author's work and own as many as I can. Performance was great, too. Only wish there was more!

Tupperware bowl, Shared With Tuna Fish

Ms Dawe reads three of this author’s funniest stories. This a paranormal fun story so if you liked Trust Me On This, my fave, or Agnes and the hit man, it is that type of humor. Kinda of corny fun LOL dialogue, hence my title . This is a long one for the authors and you will miss the characters when you have to say good bye. If you are in too much of a serious mood save this story for when you feel frivolous. It is fun and other reviewers missed the author’s intentions. The story will be a joy to re listen again on a wintry day. I do use the 1.2 speed to match the mystery. Give it a try.

Great Movie Potential!

I hope people in Hollywood get this great book and make a movie of it, without ruining the whole thing. It has romance, action and the potential for special effects in the current movie market. Jennifer & Bob send someone a copy out there, it can't miss!

Love Crusie and this one has a twist

Would you consider the audio edition of Wild Ride to be better than the print version?

I always enjoy Jennifer Crusie, and loved the story line about the demons. Good characters and unusual location.

Unbelivable but Good

The story was a bit Unbelieveable, I thought--maybe more so than other Jennifer Cruise's (JC) storys, which are generally funny and good. I still gave it four stars--maybe it should have been three. I love listening to Angela Dawe. You can hear the distinguishing of the characters so well when she reads.

Please -No more paranormal stuff

Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer are great together -the characters are quirky and interesting, the action is exciting and the storyline is always the unexpected, but Crusie just can't pull off the paranormal storylines. This is just like Dogs and Goddesses and The Unfortuate Miss Fortunes. Stick to real people with extraordinary circumstances (Like Agnes and the Hitman and Bet me -they were fantastic!)

So glad I read this silly romp

I bought this book, and sat on it for a while. I had other things that seemed more compelling. Once I got into it it was completely delightful, in a carnival kind of way. It's funny and very sweet. And about making family as best as you can. I would think if you were deeply religious you could be offended. But I thought it was a hoot.
Highly recommended.

Twisty unique story

A fun, twisty story that I couldn’t put down. So much fun I laughed out loud & even gasped a couple of times. Would recommend to anyone.

just okay

Somewhat loveless assortment of characters in a pretty simple plot. Occasionally entertaining, however, in parts also long-winded. - It is actually a “wild ride,” unfortunately not that kind I had expected.
Narration is the better part of this audio book.
