A fun listen if you know what you're getting into

First off, this was a fun listen with good narration and a good plot. I'm looking forward to more in the series.

The characters are well developed, and there are enough hooks about the support cast to get you to want to know what happens to them, and what happens next in the plot.

Ms. Wright also created a back story for her preternatural beings that gives them a believable reason to be less romantic and more ... lustful is probably the best word. And that's my hold back from giving this book a 5 star rating.

This is not a book to listen to around the under 18 crowd. If it had a rating, it would be at least NC17, if not XXX.

All the characters cuss like sailors, and Ms. Wright doesn't seem to know how to write a sex scene that isn't pornographic. Nearly all of the physical contact between the main characters is sexualized to the point where they seem more in lust with each other than in love, and during the sex scenes there really aren't any "feel the love" moments, just a lot of "feel the sensations" and "can't wait for the culmination".

That said, the sex scenes are really well written porn, and Ms. Redfield reads them well. She conveys the intensity of the scenes without going so heavy into the reading that it turns voyeuristic.

HEALING WOUNDS!

This second book focuses on Dante, Beta of the Phoenix pack, and Jamie, a newer member but an old friend. While Dante and Jamie have known each other since they were kids, a lot has changed since they have seen each other, including their attraction to each other. While they help each other with each other's past, including Jamie with her struggle to keep her agressive wolf side at bay, thing between them progress more and more. And well...I'm sure you see where things start going. ;)

I was so excited for this second book in this series, and neither Suzanne Wright nor Jill Redfield, the narrator, disappointed!! I thought this book was just as good if not better, and I can tell that Wright is going deeper into her characters, and I'm really loving it!! She also did a really good job I thought of setting things up for the books yet to come, and I am very anxious for them! Things were left bitter sweet in this one, and I am excited to see where things will continue from here!

Just enough

I really like this series! It has just enough mystery and shifting in it to intrigue you along with the sex scenes. Suzanne blends everything together well so it’s not over the edge one way or another, thank you!

I have listened to the series several times, and each time the love for these characters grows.

Damaged

Jamie’s past trauma causes her to be insecure. Dante doesn’t help with that insecurity until he finally sees what’s right in front of him.

Spicey

I like SW books because they sizzle. Her characters always have that chemistry that I crave. I enjoy a good mix of sexual heat and a good story. This continues to be a series I will be interested in adding to my library. So I will continue to buy these books since they are under $10 and I only use my credits for the more expensive books.

Once again I am so very happy with this book... I may have to tame my listening experience down a little to get a we rest up lol. Another excellent Supper Hot story. I love these Wolves. Sure hope the next book is not to far away. Having withdrawal symptoms already. Mmmmm

Wickedly Good!!!

If you are new to this series, I would highly suggest starting off with book 1 since the stories tie in together....I say this because it is seriously awesome! Tough, hot, manly men. Strong, yet gentle and sweet leading ladies. And not to mention the sarcasm and humor is freaking hilarious!!!!! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and would highly recommend it.

I won't go all deep into details giving you guys spoilers but I will say it is definitely worth the cost! Enjoy!
