Narrator brought the characters to life.. Another great Nora Roberts Book! Definately worth listening

Story ok, narrator no!

It took everything I had to get thru this book. The narrator drove me absolutely crazy. He made the character/s seem so old and his voice was extremely annoying. Now for the story…slowwwww moving and I went thru the entire book not knowing how old the characters were and it drove me crazy. I must of missed it somewhere. I had to force myself to hang in there & keep listening. The entire book I thought there was going to be a major plot twist which would have made the book so much better! It was ridiculously predictable. This is the worst performance and book I’ve listened to since joining audible. Glad it’s over and I can move on. Not sure how it gets so many good reviews.

Foul language

I enjoyed the story and enjoyed the characters. I did not enjoy the foul language, nor do I think it added one single thing to the storyline. I could have enjoyed the book so much more without that.

Great story, even better narration

Simply said, love Nora Roberts books. To me they are the perfect escape. This one has a protagonist that makes me laugh and a plot that is different that many of her books.

The narrator is bar-none my favorite of all time. You actually feel like your listening to a play. He brings such creativity to his voices that you feel what the characters feel. Excellent listen!!!

Narrator’s voice!

Enjoyed the story…a typical NR book but the narrator was obnoxious. Reminded me of Elaine’s boss in Seinfeld…so freaking dramatic!

Loved the storyline

I loved this storyline and the characters. I do wish that Abra didn’t sound old. Two voices, male and female, would have been amazing. Definitely a great story to the end.

Once again I am amazed at how the same person can write so many stories that are so different from one another. I am old enough that the sex does not captivate me, but the stories sure do. Thank you!

Easy to listen to and an even storyline. Enjoyed this and was sad when over.

Edge of My Seat Good

Great story, lots of ups and downs and ins and outs, it was hard to leave off listening to it. So happy to have discovered Nora’s talent!

Absolutely - I just really enjoyed the storyline and the characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Whiskey Beach?

It was a series of moments really - watching this interesting man regain his balance and re-engage in life. Just a sweet transformation.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not necessarily - but it was one I enjoyed going back to. I definitely wanted to see what would happen next with this fun and interesting couple. Great story.
